I got this to pair with my new paper white 11th gen which I love so far bigger screen is great and improved backlight features are nice to have. The cork cover actually has surprised me as some say they don’t like the feel of it but in my experience it does indeed feel like cork as I’d expect it too. It has a nice look to it and is decently grippy and the dark color is especially unique giving it a rustic but sharp look, it doesn’t add too much weight or heft and opens and closes to wake/sleep the kindle reliably. I haven’t had any issues with staining and the inside cover is lined with a sort of micro fiber to protect the screen, otherwise front to back of the case is indeed made from cork as it has a similar albeit not exactly the same texture to a wine bottle cork for example, but this is likely due to the fact the case is a bit strengthened or slightly coated so it doesn’t wear out too quick but it feels as I’d expect. I would definitely recommend this case if your a fan of cork made products and it will look great in either color offering convenience and protection while being a refreshing change from leather or other alternatives.

Love these cases! Purchased two (one in each color). They’re soft to touch, flexible, comfortable in hand, and sharp in appearance. We had the leather ones that came out with the last Kindle Paperwhite and those were probably a bit better in quality than these (that one is 5 years old and still perfect). I’m not sure these will hold up quite like those past ones did, but they’re still great and I’d recommend.

I bought this because it was one of the few folding cases that didn’t have microfiber on the cover (I can’t stand the feel). I’ve been very happy with it so far, and the cork is a nice look.

I love cork fabric so I was pretty excited to receive this in the mail. It is real cork and softer than you'd expect if you're unfamiliar with how cork leather feels. (Natural/light cork is, in my experience, usually softer in texture than dark cork so I'd keep that in consideration if you're trying to decide which color to get.) The black plastic rim is a little off-putting but not uncomfortable when held, the magnet that connects the cover to the back of the case is strong, and the case is lightweight enough that it doesn't affect one-handed reading. Don't have any complaints, but docked a star because it's definitely overpriced. Got it on sale during Prime Day for $35, but it's not really worth the normal price of $50.

I had somewhat low expectations for this cover due to some of the negative reviews so I was very pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it. I don’t know or care if it’s “real” cork or not; the last 3 Amazon covers I had for previous kindles were not “real” leather but were nice to look at and hold. Mine is beautiful and feels soft and very comfortable to hold on the outside and inside and has no sharp edges. I had initially purchased a beautiful (non Amazon) cover that I loved to look at but the plasticy hard edges made it uncomfortable for reading. Really glad I took a chance on this one but I do think the $50 price is too high. If you can get it on sale or “used-like new” I recommend that.
