I used to read physical print books but the kindle is so much more! It’s convenient and easy to read on public transportation and at home. I find it much easier to find a comfy reading position with a kindle as compared to a regular book.

I have had two Amazon Kindle Fire Tablets, which were both enjoyable to use, but I wanted this Kindle Reader (2022, 11th Generation) just for reading books. It took me a while to learn how to use it, due to not knowing much about technology, but once I learned how to use this Amazon Kindle, I really love it! I can now set up the functions quickly and have the perfect reading experience every time I use it. My reward at the end of every day is to settle down with my Kindle and read, read, read. I'm loving this little reader. It's lightweight and easy to hold. The variable backlight is a great feature, as is the variable font size. Some of the options for each book in my Library are a little confusing. This e-reader wakes up quickly and has a long battery life before needing a recharge. My kids love their iPads…and I know they have kindle apps available on them…but having an independent lightweight book-only tablet that is easy to carry around and you can read in bed (which we don’t allow with the lighting on the iPads, not to mention it would make all her games available in bed too, which is NOT the goal) really did work to get my daughter to read more!!! ... show more

The new reader with built-in light works well. Easy to read. BUT newer kindle software has been less stable. Several restarts needed the first month. The store updates almost every time I come out of airplane mode. Miss the genetal note app from my 3. Appears there are no addition apps available.

Not easy to search and update library from this device, but very easy to pick and read once there. Can adjust font style and size as well as brightness. Doesn't allow option to adjust screen time before it falls asleep, but opens right where I left off as soon as I press the button. Sleep screen is cover of current book and is in black and white. Turning pages is a bit of a pain and any touch to the screen can change it making it a little difficult if you hold it with your thumb in the front. Fits perfectly into my small crossbody purse makes waiting in lines so much more enjoyable. I can actively read for about 6 hours before I have to plug it in. Doesn't get hot while charging, so easy to continue reading while it charges. Lighter to hold than my cellphone. Love it, but wish I would have gotten the one in color. Included a book and pen in pics for size reference. ... show more
