I was kinda iffy on this when I bought it, but after using it for a while it's been a pretty handy tool. The breakaway and fastening torque aren't that impressive when compared to some of the big dogs (Milwaukee, Makita, etc), but for most things it'll be enough. I found that anything tightened over about 105 ft-lbs can't be loosened by this thing, anything under that though have at it. The battery life is pretty good and it's really surprisingly durable. The first job I did with this was tearing down a rear differential, of course the cover wasn't on very well and so when I undid the last cover bolt the gear oil spilled all over this poor thing, but it still worked after that. I also dropped it and cracked the battery, after that it got soaked in coolant, and then I threw it one day across the driveway and finally shattered the battery. I thought for sure after throwing it like that it'd be done, I hooked up my backup battery and it worked just fine. Kimo really does make a good impact for the price, if they could get one with a little more torque I think they'd be onto something.

When I received the wrench, it was missing the small pin that goes through the sockets to keep them on the wrench. I called the support line, and they couldn't have been more courteous and helpful. Within a few days I had a new wrench in hand with the pin. I am not overly fond of the pin having to go through the socket to keep it on, and feel it will be awfully easy to lose. I would much rather have the socket snap into place on the wrench, but the service that I received from the company was absolutely fantastic. I would recommend them to anyone, and am absolutely sure that I am going to enjoy using the wrench. I will be using it mostly to remove my tractor lawn mower blades. It is very lightweight compared to the electric wrench that I used previously, and seems to be extremely powerful. I look forward to using it. Thank you for the wonderful service. I can't rate the battery life as I haven't put it to the test yet. But am almost certain that it will be fine.

use as a off roading tool , I check every so often to make sure battery is charged . I take whole kit with me so just incase it needs charging on a far away trail ,I have the capability to charge . This thing holds charge and works pretty well . For the price it excellent , You still may have to crack loose lugs but it performs flawlessly . Very happy and highly recommend

I use this Kimo impact wrench to help swap out all 4 wheels on my car. 20 bolts in total, each one torqued to 118 lb/ft. The Kimo removes them all with few problems. In the past I used a breaker bar to loosen the bolts and then my impact driver (Bosch) with a socket bit to unscrew them all the way off. With the Kimo it is all one step, and without the manual effort needed to work the breaker bar. Usually there are a few stubborn bolts that the Kimo can't loosen right away, it might take 2 or 3 tries. But it will get them all off. I only use it for loosening bolts. I still use the Bosch to screw the bolts back on, at a very low setting, then manually tighten with a torque wrench to get them back to exactly 118. I'm sure the Kimo could get them on tight but there would be no way to be precise and no way to prevent over-torquing. The Kimo is the only impact wrench I've ever used so I can't really compare, but it works perfectly for my use. It's loud -- that's the wrench repeatedly hammering the bolt to loosen it. It uses a retaining pin and o-ring rather than a detent ball -- I think if I were switching sockets often I'd prefer the ball. Battery easily handles this job. I would suggest bringing your own sockets and not relying on the ones in the box. Overall very happy with this purchase, it has made the job much easier, and I would not hesitate to buy another Kimo tool.

The media could not be loaded. So far I've used this to remove lug nuts and lower control arm bolts. I'm impressed. One lower control arm bolt was seized with rust and this was unable to break it free. However, I had to use a 48" breaker bar and it was barely enough, so the torque involved with that particular bolt was well over 250ft-lbs. The best thing about this wrench is the battery life, though. Kimo claims much improved longevity due to the brushless design, and on that front it delivers. I was using it quite consistently over a two hour job and at the end it showed 50% charge. The inclusion of sockets and extensions is a nice touch. Sockets seem to be of decent quality. The extensions are not; I twisted the head off of one with the aforementioned breaker bar. I don't think anyone is expecting stellar quality accessory fittings at this price point, however. Overall it's a good tool for a novice mechanic that doesn't want to spend $400+ on a high-end impact wrench.

Overall I would say I am satisfied with the tool. It’s inexpensive and fairly powerful. I attempted to take off my wheel bolts on a factory torqued wheel (new car) and it was able to remove it. The battery charges quickly. I had an issue requiring support. That is, after torquing several bolts to test the ability of the wrench, it just shut down. Had to remove the battery and reinstall and it worked fine again. In the package, the manufacturer provides several ways to contact them. Someone picked up quickly and listened to my concern promising to get back to me. That was 5 days ago and nothing since then.
