I was going through the reviews trying to figure out the general ages that these hats are appropriate for, and I couldn’t get a clear answer. So, I took the chance and bought one for my 5 yr old and one for my 8 yr old. They fit both kids. The stretch is very forgiving. But, if your child has a more chubby or large head, then I wouldn’t recommend. My kids are either a little below or have an average size.
