  • Really great for kids, lots of fun features!
The media could not be loaded. This is such a great little tablet! I am super impressed with how interactive it is with the user. I got this for my grandson and was seeing it up for him, creating his avatar. If I got distracted or want praying argentine to the screen, the avatar guy does funny things like falls asleep in his feet, or checks his watch, or waves at you and does a dance! There are a lot of fun games and parents have total control over everything from hours of operation to if an app is allowed to ask for in-app purchases. It's great! This is honestly only a one person tablet though, you really can't do a lot about making it multi person. Each child would really want their own...but the price is so reasonable it's more likely you can afford more than one. It's easy to hold for both small and large hands and it has a loop at the top so you can actually attach it to something to prevent it from falling on the floor or getting left behind. It does have a place for a micro SD card and you will want a minimum of 64, preferably a 128MB because there are tons and tons of games and activities available. This one is a win! Great tablet, good size for little hands, protective outsides, easy and intuitive. Absolutely 5 stars! ... show more

  • Kind of small tablet and not so fast.
As much as I don't want to be one of those parents and just gives a tablet to their kids we finally broke down and got a couple tablets for our kids. It's much better than having them use our phones and this one does a pretty good job of playing movies and other YouTube videos however I felt that the sound was a little bit lacking and that when you tried to play a video game on it it definitely did not seem like it had the performance to play the game as well as it could have. Overall for the money it's a really good device and it comes with a really nice case around it that makes it protected for kids. Personally I felt that the 7-in tablet was a little bit on the small side it's not much larger than a phone and if you're going to bother with a tablet I think going for a 10-in is probably the best bet. ... show more

  • Errors out on setup
I've been attempting to set up this device for an hrs. You have to make a child Google account in order to use it and it has to be connected to an adult Google account. After going through the entire setup, it says updating Google and then errors out. You then have to start all over again only for it to error out again. Sad because it's really cute and was excited to use. ... show more

  • Cute but can’t get it to work properly
I was excited to get this tablet for my grandkids to use when visiting. It arrived and I have literally been trying to set it up for hours! It requires an adult email and password and a child email and password, I set them up but every time I think it is downloading it errors out and I have to start over. Very frustrating. I don’t think I will ever figure this thing out, it comes with very little instructions making it extremely hard to use. ... show more

  • There is SO MUCH for a child on this tablet- it was overwhelmingly Best Fun Ever!
When you turn on the tablet and use it you will see the C idea logo. And the graphics are extraordinary. This tablet, even when set up for an adult, will open with a backdrop for a child. The illustrations for children on the screensavers and backdrops are simply adorable (see photos). I feel like I am in the midst of a children's book on my tablet. The home screen has the time on it and a male child with an old aviator's cap (I believe) on his head, using an open book like a flying carpet. Off to the left, there are some clouds and two children reading together. And when you swipe you can put in your password- which starts and unlocks your tablet. While there were icons for things that adults would use on it- Google icons for the Play Store, Assistant, Gmail, maps, Chrome, Youtube, Duo, Find Device, and others, you also have your Kids Space. This is where you can set up the child-protected account, if and when you want to. Some of the unique apps that come installed are ones called- Draw (see photos) which plays adorable twinkling music when it opens- in Drawing you can draw with different colored pencils, in Coloring you are given different types of pictures that you can color in, and if you look at my photos one is of a mirror and you can take a photo looking right at it, and then color it in with your face in the middle. Or you can just plain old color a photo with colored pencils or crayons. The Album spot is where all the saved work goes. There are also three different selections for the music in the upper right-hand corner under the sun-looking icon on the main screen. And when you want to exit you press the home button on the left. iWana is another children’s app that comes on the device- it has a child’s face in a circle. It begins opening with an apple in the middle of the screen with a picture icon of a girl labeled Kid. When you press that icon it takes you to a selection of many, many activities some of which I had fun doing. But your kid will not ever get tired- there are years of work to be done on this tablet, with this app. Montessori Icon has things like a Geometric Cabinet, Pink Tower Color tablets, Constructive Triangles, Baric Tablets, Sound Cylinders, Numerals and counters, fraction Skittles, Long red rods, Hundred board, Decimal System, and the Teens and Ten board. While there are at least five game selections under each listed above, I took photos of the main screens and a few of the exercises. My favorite, of course, was the teen activities and I actually caught myself wanting to play them when I was bored or waiting and had the tablet in my purse. If they are fun for an adult, they will definitely entertain a child. First Learning has English, English Words, Math, Colors, and Compare. All of the exercises have unique music and in the big and small, there are sometimes narrators or teachers who point out things like "the red apple is bigger than the smaller green apple." These games prove to be a great teaching tool for children and really fun too. Then, as the big and small did, other exercises may ask a question like- pick which star is bigger and smaller. And then, when you pick the right answer, each time- there is a big fanfare and lots of things are thrown onto the screen- all different but all fun. To get out of this, you go back to the home screen. Brain Training is just as full of activities- with Memory, Observation, Reaction, Focus, and Logic. Hide and Seek is a Logic exercise and it begins with three characters on stage. The lights go out and their eyes move around the room and when the lights go back they are gone and all that is left are the five doors in the background- three on top and two on bottom level. The whole object of the exercise is to focus on the characters and their eyes in the dark, where they go, and which door they can be behind when the lights go on. There can be up to five characters in each exercise but sometimes less. And you want to find the character they highlight in the beginning. If you have ever seen people take small cups (usually three) , hide a ball under one and then shuffle them. This is a variation of that exercise for children to learn. It was really cute and fun to play though- creative in design too! There are mini-games- Two Player ones like air hockey, dodgeball, and something called Coin Eater. Arcade games like Endless Ladder, Puzzles, Sports, and Pretend Play. Archery is one of the games under sports and a target board will come on the screen and you touch it to let an arrow fly and try to get points by hitting it in the right places. STEM has physical science (solid and liquid, stuck by a magnet and others), Life Science (Nutritious Foods, Parts of a tree, The growth process of frogs..), and Earth Science (Rain and Water Cycle, Various Bodies of Water). While some must be unlocked at a premium level (only a few), most are open and free to use with the purchase. Arts and Crafts has Coloring, Mosaic Block Puzzles, Mosaic Hex Puzzles, and Famous Paintings Jigsaw Puzzles. And when you pick one of the artists- like Vincent van Gogh. Pablo Picasso, Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, Claude Monet (he and the rest of the artists are part of the premium level)…many works of art done through the years painted/drawn can be seen and when you pick one, it becomes a puzzle that you put together. Actually, I like it just so that you can see several famous works of art and they are very well photographed on the app. Kids TV has tons of shows already on it- like Shaun the Sheep, Sunny Bunnies, and Oddbods Vol.1 among others. There are also learning shows, music, stories, and karaoke. And under Karaoke, then under Nursery Rhymes, there are 66 songs on video. There are about 20-30 categories just under karaoke, with anywhere from 17-328 songs in just one (of the categories). This thing is so full of activities that your child won't need another device- ever! Or until they outgrow this one! The videos are from Youtube but they have all been listed here for you to easily find! There are even Christmas and New Year songs and each has a video to go along with the music. In the car, your child won't get enough of this tablet and it is just the right size! You can also control the theme of the device, use the Camera here, and store photos in the Gallery space. I have never seen a device so thorough and full of things for children to do and a parent can still put all their apps on the device. I have my own Kindle, and other apps, along with some games of my own from Google Play here. And when you want to get out of the iWawa children's app you must put your parental password in because everything on the tablet would be accessible to the child outside it. Of course, you don't have to put your own things on the device, but I suggest you make a password for child protection anyway. When I first set mine up, I set it up for an adult, so I didn't set up the parental control password. However, when I went to the iWawa app and then wanted to get out, since I didn't have this password set I was locked in the children's app. There is an email address given if you have a "forgotten password" and I emailed it. Almost immediately I was sent an unlock code and was able to get out this time, set the password protection code up- the same as the code to unlock my screen to make things easy. This device is so full of things, easy to use and while you may need to charge it once a day (it goes through a charge pretty fast), all things considered, this tablet is worth it, to me. I could never believe an app had compiled so much and then was put on a device for children. Because along with the Google Kid's Space, there is a lot to do here, and your child is gonna love this thing. It's just the right size and the cover is great- the two white clouds on the side are made of soft grip material for easy handling. I hope you check out my photos- there was SO MUCH to show but only so many photos I could take. Best kids' device for the price- because these games, and exercises, are really going to help take your child to another level, when it comes to their early education- which is the most important, after all! ... show more
