My grandson loves to steal my phone and take a million photos anytime I am with her, so I thought this would be the perfect thing to get him so he can take photos when I’m not there. It’s the perfect size for his hands and the protective case around it really helps to protect it. The camera itself is fairly light and doesn’t seem to be made of the highest quality material but the case keeps it safe. He loves that it has the screen so he can view his masterpieces right away. And it’s fairly easy and simple to use he’s almost 5 and figured it out in a matter of minutes. It has an okay battery life, but is rechargeable and does not take very long to charge back up. Of course the picture quality isn’t the absolute best but for kids it’s perfect! He loves to take this on vacation and to family events and show off his skills.

I would have traded my bicycle for a camera like this when I was a kid. What fun! Photos and videos and music and video games. This little guy has it all in a package that looks pretty kid-resistant. Just okay image quality, fine for the uncritical eye of a child. I ordered this camera not because I have a kid to give it to but because I'm an old photographer and I wanted to see what a $30 kid camera could do. My first camera was a Kodak Brownie (that's how old I am), and it was a real challenge for a kid to operate. And then Dad was always yelling at me to not waste film. This digital camera takes care of all those early problems and does some interesting stuff as long as you look at it through the eyes of a youngster. Don't expect great image quality. Even at the highest resolution the images are pretty pixilated. They look fine on the camera's viewing screen and not too bad on a computer screen, but they probably won't print up very well. So what? This is for kid fun, not stuff to hang on the wall. Shutter lag at the maximum resolution is long, almost two seconds, so use one of the lower resolutions like 1m or 2m where the shutter lag is minimal. The image quality isn't that much different than the higher resolutions. The video function creates AVI images which won't run on a lot of video viewers, and they look better on the camera screen than they do on a bigger screen, anyway. This camera is a digital version of that old box camera of mine: fixed focus and fixed exposure, but it works fine within a surprising range of lighting conditions and distances (see photos) It has a zoom, but I would advise against showing it to the kids. It's a bit tricky to use, and the image quality suffers badly. Better to just keep it as a point-and-shoot. Lots of cute whistles and bells like a selfie function, a bunch of cute sticker overlays (see photo), three video games and an MP3 player so they can listen to music if you download it for them. The speaker is pretty soft, which is a plus for the parents. All in all I think this is a pretty cool camera for a young photographer who hasn't graduated to a smartphone. Great price and lots of good fun.

This camera is so cute! My son has been wanting a camera like his sisters and this was the perfect option for him. The dinosaur cover is adorable. It's super easy to use. My two year old son has no problem using it. It came over half way charged which was nice as it was a gift. It comes with a lanyard so the child can wear it around their neck but is easily detached. I love that you can actually download the photos that they take so they can see their pictures. Awesome gift idea!

This is a fun toy for littles. I love the silicone cover and lanyard to protect the actual camera making it great for kids to run around and take photos without breaking the camera (or your phone if they are used to taking photos with that). One downside is that the quality of the photos is low. Don't expect to keep most of the photos as they are out of focus and blurry (even with a steady adult hand taking the photo). Knowing that, I know my toddlers will be so excited to be able to take their very own REAL photos - unlike using a pretend toy camera. I think older children will appreciate the games more than the quality of the photos and be able to navigate the menu more easily, while 3+ toddlers will need some support to get started but will enjoy taking continuous photos. **Photos taken from the camera**
