If you own a rv or travel trailer this is a must have. I'm new to trailer ownership and want to keep my rig in good working order. It is constructed well and easy to attach to your drain connection. It does look different from the image shown on site but it does rotate to make it easier to use. The length is good if you have room and it does clean well. The clear tube makes it easy to see if your black or gray tanks are cleaned out. It is easy to over fill the tanks with the back flush so get a gauge or keep a close eye on it. This kit has made emptying the tanks so much easier and more efficient. Very pleased with this product

We have always been very diligent in trying to care for our black tanks so our camper doesn't smell. We don't flush TP into our tanks, and we make sure we not only empty our black tank, but we also flush it, and in between trips, fill it completely full with water and enzymes and let it sit. Even doing this, our sensors still stopped working a couple of years ago and we'd never been able to clear them. Although the sensor stopped working, we truly expected that we had very clean tanks because we've never had an issue with smell. And then we used this device... HO-LY-COW the yuck that came out. It's not just hype. This device truly does a crazy good job of cleaning your tanks. It was as easy as twisting it onto the existing twist lock, turning on the water, making sure you fill the tank absolutely full (to the neck of the toilet stem), and then pulling this valve. The device appears to create a vacuum that sucks a surprising amount of yuck out of every nook and cranny. The device has a clear neck so you can what's happening. The first time we used this, we assumed we'd see a bit of gunk, but were surprised just how dirty the water was. Because it was far dirtier than we expected, we did it a second time - and yup, more grossness. All total, we filled and emptied five times using this device. By the fifth flush, the water was running clear and the sensors in our camper are working again.

I finally had the opportunity to use my week old purchase. I saw this product as I was scanning YouTube and found a 55 minute video (yes, long but found it to be very worth my time for this important chore), put on with an employee of ‘Kleen Tank’ (KleenTank.com), a business that flushes out holding tanks for clients that hire them to clear out tanks for many different reasons. After purchasing a water flow gauge for my garden hose (as they recommended, for obvious reasons), and the required ‘Flush gate’ (above), I took my trailer to a local dump site rather than wait to do it at a campground dump location and risk a back up line that would push me beyond a typical timeline to complete the task. It went perfectly the first time with zero issues. The flush gate valve is so slick and reverse filling both tanks went quicker than I expected (roughly 1 gallon per 10 seconds, for me). My wife was in the trailer just this 1st time, to make sure we didn’t overflow anything as it progressed filling. I wanted 80% of the tank filled as recommended ( 30 gallon tank so 24 gallons for my rig). We stopped filling at 22 gallons when she called out to me as it filled. We ended up doing 2 flushes until clean on the Black, and then 2 on the gray. This system is really a quality accessory to get, then keep my holding tanks maintained properly. Check out the website mentioned above, it’s important to know that they recommend NOT using a Black Tank additive to break down solids, as it becomes a ‘pancake mix’ type mud in your tank and if allowed to dry AT ALL, it’ll be very tough to clean with a normal flush at a campground dump. More important info on that company’s website and worth the time, trust me. If you use any type of RV and need to use a dump station, get this accessory along with a water flow gauge. You’ll be very happy in future rinsing chores……..I promise!

My husband and I have lived full-time in our RV for the past 6 years. While we've taken great care of our black tank, we unintentionally neglected our galley tank. Of course we have the mesh covers over the drains, but "stuff" still managed to float down the drain. This past week our kitchen sink clogged up. We tried plunging. We tried vinegar and baking soda. We even tried Zep Drain Care. We tried using a Shop-Vac and a drain snake. Nothing would unclog our sink. Fearing we would have to take our RV into a service center to have the tank dropped, my husband gave one last online search, desperate for something/anything that would unclog our sink. Toxic products like Drano weren't an option because it's an RV, so we were limited in chemicals we could use. Enter the FLUSH KING! My husband emailed me the product link to see what I thought. I figured we had nothing to lose but $30.00 or so, so I ordered it. We got our Flush King today. By the time I got home from work, my husband had already installed the unit to our drain hose. I stayed inside the RV to make sure the water didn't overflow ( if we were lucky enough to get the drain unclogged) and my husband was controlling the water pressure outside. Once I heard the gurgle and started to see the water come into the sink, I yelled at my husband to turn off the water. I went outside when he released the drain. Fortunately, Flush King was wise enough to make their product clear so we could be awed and horrified at the same time watching all the "gunk" flush out of our tank. It was so amazingly gross, my husband and I felt compelled to flush the tank 4 more times. I'm happy to say our tank is clean, sink is functioning, and the drain is clogged no more. Flush King is truly an amazing product! I always say I'm going to get online to leave reviews when I purchase products, but I always get busy and forget. Not this time. Flush King seriously saved us from having to take our RV to a service center!! If you're unsure about this product, buy it! You won't regret it. If you have tanks that aren't even clogged, buy it! It will keep your tanks fresh and clean. We'll probably flush all three tanks monthly from now on...if not more!

I bought this after seeing another camper using it on his rig. Previously, we would empty the wastewater tanks on our RV, and then try to rinse them by running more water into them. At the dump station, we would hook up the hose to the city water connection, and after emptying the tanks, run the faucets or flush the toilet to rinse the tanks. This required that someone be inside the trailer and it took more time. This unit allows us to drain the tank, close the downstream valve to the sewer hose, leave the upstream valve to the holding tank open, and run water directly into the tank. In a few minutes, there is quite a bit of water in the tank. Then you shut of the fresh water valve and allow the water to drain into the sewer hose. How well does it work? For one thing it doesn't spray the holding tank, but adds water from the bottom up. So there is no "scrubbing" action. It simply rinses. Secondly, the fresh water connection tends to leak a little, even when the hose is attached securely. It is clean water dripping, so not a big deal, but I turn off the water spigot when not actually putting water into the tank. Lastly, with my rig, the hose gets in the way of opening the valve going to the sewer hose. I am able to manipulate the handle and get it open or closed, but it is a bother. We have used it for one summer and had no big issues. it has simplified dump station work for me, so I would buy it again.

I beleive Valterra is a high quality brand and I own the Dominator sewer hoses that are used in conjuction with the Flush King. My RV does not have a built in black tank flush valve, so it was important that I have some way of flushing the black tank after camping trips. This product works well. I would caution anyone who uses a flush valve like this to make sure you keep an eye on water level or use a water regulator to determine the GPM. After figuring that out and using a timer, flushing your tank is easy. I usually do two to three flushes after each use, and I have not any ill effects.

Works great, definitely cleans out the tank. We struggled with a clogged grey tank consistently, no matter what solutions we used or different cleaning processes. The Flush King definitely was the answer.
