Was originally skeptical since this product was quite a bit cheaper than other similar standing desks but it works great! Raising and lowering is easy with the push of a simple button on the right side and then gently guiding the desk with pressure in the direction you want it to go. Works exactly as advertised and appears durable and long lasting. If I’m being super picky, the couple things I would change would be to have the beveled edge on all sides so you can change the side the raise/lower lever is on. The media could not be loaded. To change height you have to push the lever in towards the center of the surface. My video shows the underside so you can see how the lever works. (If you turn it upside down to try this watch out because the legs might spring up suddenly.) To make the surface go up or down you have to use a bit of force to get it going but once you get used to it, it isn't difficult, it works smoothly. ... show more

Absolutely could not raise it. We kept trying to push the button to raise it and it wouldn't push in. Once we finally got it to push in, parts literally flew everywhere... broken pieces, springs, nuts. What's even worse is that I bought this during prime day and I can't get a replacement, so now I have to spend more money to buy a different one. I wish I would have paid attention to the other reviews that said it was hard or impossible to open. ... show more

Impossible to open. No detailed instructions. The only two things mention was, "WARNING: Hands much not exceed safety shield below table top below the tabletop, otherwise it will pinch." I searched the item description closely for more deteils; the ONLY thing mentioned was push down on handle. I am reboxing this thing up and sending all 16 lbs back. Think twice about purchasing. I like this standing desk and how uncomplicated it is to use in a variety of table spaces. I can use it on a smaller size desk or in a workspace. It is really useful because of the way it can also help to organize a desk. If not flat, when elevated, this standing desk can allow room for smaller things under its deck. The only two drawbacks that I can find with this desk is that it isn’t always the easiest to open and its weight. It doesn’t weigh a ton, but I think it’s weight is enough to deter everyday users from using this portably or from moving it around a workstation. It’s really nice and it is usable though.
