  • Well worth the price !
I am very impressed with the quality of this guitar, It came playable out of the box, after a string stretching the tuners are holding just fine , I adjusted the truss rod for less relief and that was all it needed.! Pickups are okay but,I will replace them at some point? I would definitely recommend this guitar,it resonates really well.also ,neck is beautiful and comfy, not to thin or too fat just right ! ... show more

  • No brainer
This relic-ed Tele by KGD is perfect. A surprise roasted maple neck, ( which wasn’t in the description.) Thanks. I lowered the action a bit. That’s all; intonation spot on. This thing looks sounds and feel like a true boutique guitar.Bravo to Amazon for carrying this item. It has all high end appts. Roasted maple neck, stainless steel ball end frets, belly cut, forearm cut, shred zone cut. No hum. I was fortunate to get the last one! If you can find one grab it. ... show more

  • Decent quality for guitars in this price range.
Guitar played pretty well but, I returned when I had a problem trying to set the intonation. I later realized that it was my tuner that had a failing battery in it. I don' regret returning it because I would rather have a tele made with alder wood for a more traditional sound. I did get some the soiled finger residue the first (about 5 times) I played it. I guess that's why a lot of guys pull the strings off right away to clean the neck up properly. I generally play an electric guitar acoustically a good while before plugging it in. If I don't bond with it I typically don't like the amplified sound as I don't use a lot of overdrive and effects all the time. I know, who cares? but that's what I do. ... show more

  • Excellent purchase!
Looks just like the photos. Pickups sound AMAZING (will not be swapping them) The neck is beautiful, spruced it up with some lemon oil. Needed a slight neck adjustment out of the box to correct minor fret buzz (most likely from long distance travel). Easy peasy. Action out of the box was good and I was able to intonate easily as well. The ONLY thing that I wished the maker of this guitar would have done would have been to use road worn hardware to match, though I know they would have had to charge a bit more and lets face it, the price is what’s so appealing. So for about $60 I changed all of the sparkling brand new hardware to road worn. If you are looking for a tele to tinker with and make your own…..this is absolutely a no brainer….just buy it. And you really don’t have to do anything to it, I was jamming on this within 10 min of taking it out of the box and after my few little hardware changes, I haven’t put it down! ... show more

  • Amazing Guitar
This is my first KGD guitar and I am amazed at the outstanding quality. The rounded stainless steel fret ends alone are worth the purchase. The aged / relic finish of the body looks and feels amazing. Setup and playability is excellent. Love it!

  • Decent value for the price
Pros: Light weight with good acoustics that have good sustain. The relic job is surprisingly well done. Cons: Tuners are terrible and will need to be replaced. The nut was cut too deep in a few slots and will also need to be replaced. The neck pickup is very weak and muddy. The bridge is OK but if I keep it, I would also replace the pups and electronics. The frets seem to be pre-cut before installation. When you line sight the frets, some frets are shorter in width than others and it looks bad and low quality. The frets were also very rough so I smoothed them with steel wool. Before doing this, it was almost unplayable. Easy fix. Right now, I am having a hard time setting the intonation. The guitar looks good but does not play or sound great as is. Replacing the saddles, tuners, and electronics will add at least $200 bucks to the cost. ... show more
