  • This made me much more critical of other keyboards
Color: Gateron Brown Switch
I bought this for use with work. I wanted something quiet and yet still tactile as I would be doing a lot of typing. I did not rate it for gaming as I have no plans to use it for gaming. However I am sure it would do fine as a gaming keyboard. As my title said, this keyboard has made me much more critical of other keyboards. For the price, it's an incredible value. Buttery smooth switches with a very subtle and nice tactile bump (I got the brown switches). The dampening is phenomenal so there is no rattle. Lots of lighting options without need of software, if that is your thing. Now I have a hard time choosing a gaming keyboard cuz I now have a new standard for how keys should feel. Something I would have liked a wristrest. They do sell one separately, which i am sure helps reduce cost for the keyboard itself, however the bottom side of the keyboard is not magnetic so you may have trouble with it moving around if you have your keyboard on a plush deskpad like myself. Also, the model i got had Gateron G Pro Browns. I love the feeling, but they really are a switch meant for heavy handed typing. I do sometimes miss keystrokes cuz i stop when i feel the bump, but the actuation point is a little bit past the bump. For use for purely typing, I am gonna have a hard time finding something that beats it but I would recommend the hit swappable version to easily switch them out if needed. ... show more

  • A wonderful typing keyboard
Color: Hot-swappable Brown Switch
The form factor of this particular keyboard probably isn't right for gaming, but I used this keyboard for work and it's fantastic to type on. I really like having the option of bringing it with me because it's bluetooth, or just setting it on my lap and leaning back at my desk. The keys are just... so nice for typing on. I also have a Corsair k70 with cherry brown switches, and I think I prefer the gateron's. The neutral color scheme is also great for a professional setting, with programmable RGB because why not at this point. I've been wanting to try clear switches for ages, and being hot-swappable gives me that option as well. This keyboard is really well constructed, feature rich, and punches way above it's weight at the price point. ... show more

  • Looks great!
Color: Gateron Brown Switch
-Most impressed by these lighting options. They're EXTENSIVE compared to what I've had a chance to use so far (which isn't much, as a beginning user of these fancy keyboards). -The feel of the plastic keycaps alone makes this a fantastic purchase. -The font of the lit portion of the keyboard is extremely sleek. I'm a big fan. -The base of the keyboard is nice, heavy, and the cold metal contrasts nicely with the feel of the keycaps. -Super happy to upgrade from a twenty dollar keyboard that happened to have red switches installed. -Only downside is me having to readjust where my fingers go. I'm used to the different regions of the keyboard (the F bar, numpad, etc) being separated slightly. Be aware that they are immediately adjacent to the other keys on the keyboard, so if you're used to a more delineated layout, know you'll have a learning curve! ... show more

  • Charge time prior to use
Color: Gateron Brown Switch
Great feel! Quality keyboard. My only major gripe is that when the battery dies you have to charge it for ~10 minutes before you can use it at all even though it is plugged in. This can be super inconvenient. You should be able to use it shortly after if not immediately when it is plugged in.

  • Great Keyboard With One Caveat
Color: Gateron Brown Switch
For all the positives, there are enough reviews for you to read on that. It really IS a top-notch keyboard. My one complaint: on the switch where you control whether the keyboard is in Windows/Android or Mac/iOS modes, you cannot see which mode is which with the human eye. It is microscopically small. And nowhere in the user manual, or anywhere on the Internet, can you find out which side is which. (Oddly, the manual clarifies which side is which for the "bluetooth/wired" switch right next to it.) I tried the magnifying glass on my iPhone and I tried using my reading glasses and still all I saw were two squiggly lines. Finally I used the camera on my phone and zoomed in to where it was barely legible. Keychron, either make these words bigger or at least put both switches in the user manual. ... show more
