  • Great Mechanical Keyboard with Minor Flaws
Color: Gateron Brown Switch
This keyboard is a great mechanical with a nice solid quality feel. In general from the standpoint of typing there’s nothing to complain about. The RGB backlighting is effective with many pleasing patterns and color choices. Battery life seems more than adequate and the device will charge while being used in wired mode. The only complaints I have relate to the speed with which it switches between devices. For the typical user this probably wouldn’t be an issue but for someone that’s switching multiple times within very short intervals the lag is enough to become frustrating. The switches on the side for selecting wired or bluetooth and Windows or Mac are small though not frequently used. There is no software which is both a positive, (you don’t need any) and a negative because there’s no key customization. Your only indicator of battery life will be a small led next to the small selection switches not a deal breaker but not ideal either. All in all I recommend this keyboard, it offers the benefits of a mechanical with good tactile feedback, support for 3 devices, nice RGB backlighting at a very fair price point. ... show more

  • Compact 10 Key
Color: Gateron Brown Switch
I got this keyboard because I am doing college online and I have limited desk space but needed a 10 key for using graphing calculators. It is very compact, it's only about two cap-widths longer than my 60% keyboard and about 1 wider. I do have issues finding the arrow keys and I wish they would have used caps with a nipple or some other distinguishing mark to make them easier to find without looking. But I'm sure with time muscle memory will make it much easier. The reviews that mention a lack of num lock indicator must be old as the model I was shipped used a red led to indicate capslock and numlock status. The key caps feel like POM instead of PBT and I (subjectively) don't like POM caps nearly as much, but they are fine otherwise. I have the brown switches and they are very nice. It is extremely sturdy (if you get the model with the aluminum frame) and the lighting can be controlled completely on the keyboard so no software required. The Bluetooth pairing is quick and easy, have not had any dropped inputs or other issues. I wish the aluminum frame was available on the non-rgb version. I don't like RGB and I don't use it. I also wish there was a model with no lighting (except for num and capslock). I also don't like that the default caps are for MacOS, but they are easy to switch. I wish that they would have left the insert key, I do actually use it, but instead the key is the dedicated RGB key. I keel like retaining the insert key and making the RGB be a fn key would have been more sensible. ... show more

  • It's just plain fun!
Color: Gateron Brown Switch
LOVE this keyboard! It looks great, FEELS GREAT, and it actually helped me type faster! On my old mechanical, because of how far the keys were (and how hard you had to press), I was going at ~75 wpm, but this new keyboard is placing me in the 80's range consistently. The key presses feel great, and the LED's are just fun to look at! Bluetooth functionality works AMAZINGLY on this as well! Really easy to switch from one device to another. If you have multiple devices, this keyboard is for you! ... show more

  • Great keyboard and Recommendations to make it a Perfect keyboard
Color: Gateron Red Switch
I'm EXTREMELY picky about keyboards. I have more than 50 of them. I know.. it's an obsession. I travel and I type alot. My needs for this keyboard, particularly, is that I wanted a keyboard compact enough to be able to slide in my backpack but still have mechanical keys and a number pad, which is essential for what I do. I also wanted to have bluetooth, or at least a detachable cord most keyboards have a permanently attached cord making it cumbersome to travel with. In order to pack all those features in one keyboard, I realized that concessions had to be made, but I didn't want any concessions to impact my ability to TYPE. Meaning, I needed a full sized keyboard and high quality keys. This is really the first keyboard that met all my requirements in a keboard. Full size with number pad, yet compact. Bluetooth with removable chord and quality build and keystrokes. So... what did I have to give up? First, I had to concede to a thicker keyboard. In order to accommodate a backlit and bluetooth mechanical keyboard, the manufacturer needed to add some weight and thickness to amp up the battery to give it the juice to perform. This affects its compactness to a degree as well as typing comfort for some, albeit for me it doesn't impact my comfort or ability to type. Second, I had to concede to a keyboard that goes to sleep after a few minutes and I have to be patient while it wakes back up, as well as deal with some occasional Bluetooth lag. Third, I had to concede cursor keys (Which I rarely use anyway) that are a little tight and a "0" on the number-pad downsized to a regular key instead of an oversized thumb key. Fourth, I had to pay $104 for all those features. So... I'm pretty happy about my purchase, but here is what I think (at least for me) would make this a better keyboard. 1. I would either make the keyboard sleep user-defined through an app, or I would scrap Bluetooth altogether. By far, my biggest complaint is how quickly this keyboard sleeps. I have a business and I am reviewing invoices and documents and then entering and updating information as needed. 90% of the time, when I'm ready to engage my keyboard, it has gone to sleep. It's not worth it. This needs to be user definable based on need, or simply done away with. It isn't usable in its current state. As such, I always leave it plugged in when I work. I DO love the fact that it uses a detachable USB-C which makes it easy to connect to my laptop for power and data. 2. If Bluetooth is scrapped, I would build a really slimline version of this. Take out the battery, remove the Bluetooth and skinny this keyboard up by a half inch or more by adding half-depth keys. That would be an extremely comfortable keyboard, light and compact, while only sacrificing Bluetooth, which really doesn't work effectively anyway. 3. I would bring back the big 0 thumbkey on the number pad. I'll be honest, I'm not sure how to accomplish this; maybe lose the "control" button and build that function in elsewhere, maybe. But for people who need a tenkey, we NEED a tenkey. We are entering data, and to constantly look at the keyboard to make sure I'm hitting a diminutive "0" key (the most commonly pressed key in data entry), it's too distracting. If the company make bluetooth sleep function user-selectable and remapped the keys to accommodate a bigger 0 numpad key, I would be very happy. OR If the company made a model that scrapped Bluetooth altogether, and made this a really slim beast by removing the battery and building half-high keys, AND remapped the numkey (see above) I would be equally blissfully happy. In fact I would probably buy them both and give them both 5 star reviews. Aside from those issues, for a compact keyboard with mechanical keys and a number pad, this keyboard really delivers. ... show more
