The quality of the plastic is good, and the product is well designed. The best part is that I could easily put it together in less than 15 minutes and there’s no need for screws or getting my husband involved (a win:win)! I was able to set them both up in my garden within 30 minutes. They are small, patio size- so measure to know what to expect. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase. I’m not sure how the plastic will hold up in FL sunshine, and I expect the legs will rust quickly, as well, because hey it’s FL. This thing is awesome. I got the black one to go with the color of my deck and its very cute. It has a nice wood grain look and its so well made and simple to put together and it has easy to understand instructions (no tools needed). Its also pretty sturdy. I'm using it to grow herbs outside that I plan to bring into my basement for the winter, so I can stop spending so much money on grocery store bunches of herbs I never fully use up. Only caution is that is a good size but its not huge. I think I'm going to be able to grow about 8-10 bunches of herbs in it. So if you're planning to grow a lot, you may need more than one. Otherwise, I honestly love this thing. The water indicator and little seedling planter is perfect (the seedling planter has holes for drainage...they thought of everything). Also the extra water collects in the bottom but doesn't just pour out...you have to pull the rubber plug to do it....which is great because 1) I don't want dirty water all over my deck and 2) the water can be saved for re-watering because its nutrient rich. Last point, its a very nice finish plastic so doesn't look cheesy or cheap. Usually I only like wood, metal, etc...but this almost looks like stained wood panels and will be much, much easier to clean and will last forever without maintenance. Trust me, I'm picky as hell about decor items and functionality and this is a really cute piece for being plastic. Its a definite buy and thanks to the manufacturer for building a good quality, very cute, very environmentally friendly planter. And the little shelf underneath helps to hide our ugly deck light switch and holds my watering can and citronella candles...sooo awesome! Thank you!!! ... show more

I am new to gardening and was trying to find something I could keep on my patio for herbs. I was looking for something durable, decorative but also that made sense for gardening. I already have 2 different Keter deck boxes this exact color so I was pleased to find this product. I don't completely understand how the water indicator gauge works but know I will figure it out sooner or later. I loved how the water drains to the bottom of the container and the drain plug allows me to remove excess water. We had a huge rain the other day so I removed the drain cap and removed about a gallon of water; I let it drain into my large watering can so I can reuse the water. I would recommend this product to anyone who is thinking about using something like this, it is very durable and like their other products, a good/quality item. I am going to purchase another one later this summer if I decide to grow any additional herbs. Side Note - I am thinking I might be able to move this into my garage in the winter and possibly turn into a mini greenhouse with a grow lamp? This would allow me to keep my herbs going all year long...maybe?! Not sure if that would work out but I think the possibility is there with this product. Just wish it came with an optional greenhouse cover/dome and maybe casters? Really impressed with this! ... show more

Overall this is a nice planter. It seems sturdy and was very easy to assemble, and the water reservoir/drainage system is clever. I'll update the review after it goes through a few rains so I can see how well it works. Customer service seems to be an issue though and is why I'm only giving this three stars. I ordered two planters, but only one came with the green seedling tray shown in the photos. You have to deal directly with the manufacturer for any issues, and it seems like the contact options on their website are disabled after hours (I couldn't even fill out a web form). When I got a hold of a rep by phone during office hours, she said she would send me an email that I could reply to with my information so they could start a claim. The email arrived pretty promptly, but when I replied with my information I got a failed delivery message (mailbox full). Not sure whether I'll keep following up because it really shouldn't be this difficult when parts are missing. So be aware that customer service doesn't seem to be great if you have issues with your order. ... show more
