We purchased this Keter deck box as a “Used - Very Good” Amazon return at a reasonable discount, and it arrived essentially brand new. Assembly was straightforward, and once put together the box looks much nicer in person than many resin outdoor storage options we considered. The walnut finish has a more furniture-like appearance than typical plastic deck boxes, and it fits well on a patio without looking overly utilitarian. The build quality also impressed us. The panels feel sturdy, the lid operates smoothly, and overall it seems thoughtfully designed for outdoor use. What an easy project to put together and everything fits together just as you would want it to. The design is simple but sturdy and the appearance is top notch with the wood grain color. I purchased to be a porch package receiver and to keep packages dry. A terrific rainstorm hit the night that I put the unit on my porch and even with driving rains, large hail and high winds not a drop of water inside. Would purchase again if need arises. Value exceeds cost and it fits on my porch where I had hoped. I added a sticker which I purchased through Amazon giving instructions for package drop off. ... show more

Pros: - Looks beautiful - Large size, fits all my shovels, ice melt, and tons of other stuff - Seems sturdy and I hope it holds up during our next snow storm - Love the hydraulic close - Fairly lightweight and easy to move when empty - Aesthetically could pass as real wood Cons: - The lock doesn’t align so I have to actively close it and re-align it every time. - I had to get inside the box with the lid closed to fasten one part. Not my favorite situation bc I’m claustrophobic. I pretended I was buried alive and the faster I secured the part, the more likely I would live :D - Idk if I would consider this a con necessarily but it took me about 1.75 hours to assemble. I did it by myself (44yr old and in decent shape but I have a bad back). Trying to get the lid aligned and pushed down gave me a literal headache bc it required kicking and pushing and pulling for a while and it hurt my back. Using a drill cut down a lot of time. So many good things to write about this outside deck storage container. The color, size, and weight was just what we were looking for. Not too heavy to lift but it's definitely not going anywhere in a strong wind (a problem we have had in the past). Great value for the money we spent and it will hold all of our chair cushions. Great storage! Super easy to install (took me less than 5 mins without tools!). Lid is durable but also easy to open and close. Provides great protection from the rain and elements. Excellent value for the money!

We currently have two and plan on getting more. They are really well made, high quality, completely waterproof, no leaks, and have an attractive, natural look.     • Missing part that Ketter will not replace.

The box is fine, but my kit was missing the tiny plastic clip that holds down the box lid. I called Ketter directly to simply have a replacement clip sent and they stated that they do not stock the clip as an available part to ship. I was asked to disassemble the fully assembled box (installing the clip is the final step of the assembly sequence so I didn't know it was missing until the box was assembled). Ketter informed me this needed to be done carefully with a hairdryer to warm up the plastic tabs which hold the various sections together as not to break them. I would then have to return the entire box for a replacement. Basically, I am very unhappy with Ketter on this. The missing clip is their fault, while I am being asked to take time and effort from my day to remedy their mistake by disassembling the box and taking it to an Amazon returns location - while all they need to do is to send me one small plastic clip worth ~2c. ... show more
