Installed in 2013 Ford F-150, amazing head unit, I used a Maestro dash kit with idatalink wiring, did not keep Sync there is no need, have all my steering wheel controls, and with the Kenwood I can look at my trucks TPMS, engine temps, and more. This install will take anyone some time, there is a lot to do to get it all up and running, so do your research and buy the adapters needed, but wish I had done this years ago because this head unit is far superior to factory stereo. The seller shipped overnight, and with SiriusXM the price is cheaper than any seller I've found on here. Android and Car play works flawlessly. ... show more

Item description is misleading for this radio. I went to a professional audio shop and one of the techs recommended this head unit after letting him know my feature requirements. You cannot play videos on the screen, you cannot mirror your phone screen to head unit. It is not even a true android auto radio. More of a proprietary POS. Stay away from this unit. ... show more

Needed to add an updated Head unit with XM radio and backup camera to my old 1997 4Runner. Bought this unit with its XM tuner option and had it professionally installed together with a Rydeen CM-LIP4 backup camera. We love the XM radio, which we listen to all the time in our every-day car. This Kenwood unit also adds the ability to view HDMI and USB cell-phone inputs and accessory AV inputs. It has tons of customizable display features, BUT doesn't have a key one that I needed. The 4Runner has a power antenna that raised automatically when the original radio was turned on...but now the antenna is only needed if listening to the FM radio, NOT the XM radio, or using the backup camera, etc. As installed, the Kenwood unit was running my Antenna up every time the unit was turned on, a real distraction. Kenwood needs to add an option to only power the Antenna when the FM/AM radio is being used...not every time the overall unit is turned on. What I did was had a remote manual switch added to the antenna power feed to allow it to be manually turned off when not needed. But this required a second post-installation access to the back of the unit at significant additional cost. A second minor nit is the large black banner Kenwood adds to the backup camera view to warn one to look. The banner blocks a significant amount of the screen and is totally unnecessary after the first few views. Should have an option to eliminate it or have it disappear after 5 seconds. I knocked off one star for these...but the unit is otherwise really great. ... show more
