Yet another update. I tried two other hot water heaters and they both leaked (and were twice the price and then some) so I ended up going with this same hot water heater again because it really does work so well and I love the small size of it. This time it came with extra items for installation purposes and a redone manual that was very helpful. I'm hoping this one lasts longer than the last one did. This one works so well, very fast and extremely efficient. It's also extremely quiet, you rarely hear it running. Update: This heater was absolutely awesome, and about a week after the year mark, it just stopped working. Too bad actually because it was really great when it was working. I live in a mini-house and needed something small to put under my kitchen sink so I would be able to wash dishes, etc. This was perfect. I got the 2-1/2 gallon tank. It set up fairly easily with 1/2 inch Pex, but I think it definitely helps to have some knowledge/skill in plumbing. The unit plugs in and has quite a short cord, but that was easily factored in for me. Did have a small leak on the hot side when I turned the water on for the first time, but a garden hose gasket that I had on hand fixed it easily. I liked the size and the price of this, shipped quickly and packed well. It fit easily under my sink as it is less than 12 inches square. The really great part is how well it works. It takes mere minutes to heat water. This is not an on-demand system, but a point of use; however, I was doing a large project in the kitchen and house today, cleaning a lot of things, and I never once ran out of hot water because it heated up so quickly in between uses. The media could not be loaded. Bought the water heater in December 2023 and installed it for my studio to have instant hot water to my sink. Seemed a like pretty good deal. At first... It was a pain to install. Constantly leaked from the pressure release valve and then finally started leaking from the front face plate (video included). Photos show the corrosion that happened in literally less than 3 months. The fact that none of the electrical is protected from water meant that this water heater was a ticking time bomb. An absolute trash piece of work. We only figured out the problem after we took apart the entire water heater. Don't waste your time with this product. You can't even replace anodizing rod which is highly recommended in other water heater brands. We switched to Bosch because I'm absolutely floored with how poor this product was made. I use this for my shampoo bowl. The water gets real hot but it will only last for 10min then it starts to cool. You literally have to wait a while for the water to heat back up. Don’t get a lot of water pressure out of the tank. It heats up pretty quickly once set. I just wish the water would stay hotter longer. ... show more
