I had been happily using a Logitech Anywhere mouse for several years that was starting to fail. I did not feel like spending a lot of money on a mouse, but did not also want to be stuck with cheap junk. I personally like having the forward and back buttons for the browser, and I am particular about size. I hate the large ones that take up too much footprint - but also dislike the tiny ones that are so uncomfortable to use. This one is very similar to the Anywhere mouse in size which had fit my hand well, but this mouse looks more comfortable than it really is. Despite the curves and shape which appears ergonomic - the simple, flatter shape of the Logitech was much more comfortable to use. If you are an Apple user- out of the box, this mouse is useless for anything other than the major left and right buttons. I had to go download the Steermouse app off the web, and then I was able to program all of the buttons as I wanted. It is very light - but seems sturdy enough. The Logitech was a beast when it came to the battery - draining it every few weeks. Hoping this one lasts longer. The receiver is nice and small - like all the other nano receivers out there. I had a Kensington mouse for probably 10 years. The thing was rock solid, never had issues, and it lasted forever. Finally time to get a new one so I thought I'd go with the same brand. Well they must not make em like they used to b/c this thing just stops working for no reason. It feels light and cheap compared to my old one. I no longer have brand loyalty for wireless mice (mouses?). ... show more

    • Liked it until the scroll wheel crapped out
I had this mouse for 4 months. Liked how it felt / performed. However, the scroll wheel got all jerky after just 4 months of use, making the mouse more or less unusable. Going in the trash. Too late to return to amazon and not worth my time to go back and forth with Kensington support. Goodbye $30.

Over the phone the Kensington Technician troubleshot and fixed my issue! A lack of Windows updating for a month had taken down my mice and they were able to talk me thru the resolution and testing. I'm 6 foot tall and my hands are, I guess, proportional in size. This mouse is amazing. I've had the popular Logitech m510 and even though that's a good mouse, I think the Kensington Pro Fit Mid is better. Takes two AA batteries. Has on/off switch Has a compartment underneath with a magnet to keep the USB dongle stowed safely Great shape Great choice of color combinations Tracks like a dream on my Corsair mm400 smooth, hard top mouse pad and my OfficeMax Rhinolin mouse pad as well. I have yet to test the battery life. they claim something like 2 years or so. Not a concern of mine as I've got various rechargeable AA batteries. The battery life stinks. I am using two AAA batteries per week. I have even tried turning off overnight but even that didn't help. I purchased to replace an overworked wireless Microsoft model that two AA lasted 9 months & I didn't have to shut it off during non-use. But I did pay twice as much as the Kensington. ... show more
