This is a great dryer. Its not fancy or digital, there are no flashing lights, but it gets the job done very efficiently. It is so quiet that I keep thinking it has turned itself off (which is the problem I had with my broken dryer I had to replace). When we were shopping for one we went back and forth over whether to buy one from Amazon or not. In the end I decided to order here because when I go to an appliance store I always end up upgrading in order to get something that's in stock. You get to choose a delivery window, and the dryer came right in the middle of our time frame. We did the free delivery, which means it is left either by a door or in the garage. You can also pay two different amounts, one to have it taken inside and more to have it actually installed. The only thing I would say is you should plan ahead and get a power cord and vent kit ahead of time. It is standard that dryers do not come with them and that is the only downside about buying from Amazon, as if you got one from a store the sales advisor would send you home with what you needed. We were going to use our old power cord but then realized how ancient it was, so we had to go to a store to get one after the delivery. It would be easier if you had it ready, and of course if Amazon were fitting it you would have to have a cord and vent at your house. ... show more

Very nice. I've only had it a couple of weeks. This is the kind of purchase that needs commenting after a year or so of use. But so far, super easy to install (Amazon's Shipper installed for us) The dryer is super easy to figure out how to use. Not too many dials/buttons, options. I like the moisture control option where the dryer shuts off when it senses the moisture is out of the clothing. But, it might start up again after the buzz, if it senses there is still moisture in the clothing. But, it is doing its job. So, you have to let it complete the moisture cycle and wait a few minutes after the 1st buzzer on the moisture dry option. Large load capacity. Light on inside to see what you are doing. Front load, with door that swings down instead of to the side so that when you are pulling clothing out of the dryer, and a sock drops, the dryer door catches the clean dry item, instead of falling on the floor which occurred with my prior dryer that had the front load, swinging open to the right dryer door. No fancy electronic display for low tech people like me. No fancy electronic display to fail in the future:) ... show more

My last dryer I went with a more expense LG model that matched the front loader with the clear door to see through, all digital, tons of settings and options and gotta say I HATED that dryer. It didn't dry a normal size load unless you set it on high for an hour and a half, after just a few yrs the drum in it cracked which I found out was a common problem with that model. I finally got fed up and shopped for a new dryer. After checking locally and the big box stores my husband recommended checking amazon. I had no idea they handled large appliances. I really wanted to find just a regular back to the basics clothes dryer without all the fancy crap that really doesn't do any good. I grew up with Kenmore appliances in the house and remembered the lasting many yrs with no repairs so when I saw this one I thought I'd try it. The price and size were good. It arrived quickly, delivery was free as well as removal of my old dryer so that was a big plus since other places wanted $60-$80 to do that. The delivery guys were great! Friendly and efficient and careful in my home loading and unloading. I've done about 10 loads in it so far, med, large and XL loads and I LOVE this dryer! Even an XL load is done in an hour or less. Its quiet, simple and efficient. I hope I have it for many years! Thanks Kenmore you didn't disappoint! I will be looking to replace my LG washer soon and will look here first! ... show more

I am writing this review after having this dryer for 7 years! This is a great dryer that we would recommend. We bought the dryer over Amazon in 2018 and it is still running, but showing signs now that it will be probably a good time to look for a new one. But up until now we haven't had any issues with this dryer, and I have used it extensively! It's basically running at our household every day, and has worked well all of these years. Only downside is that I don't quite like the location of the lint trap on top. Lint always scatteres everywhere when we remove the screen to clean the lint trap, but you get used to it. I ordered a new Kenmore clothes dryer. Price seemed very good. Dryer, delivery, install and hauling of old dryer. I believe the dryer was not installed correctly. It got hot, but clothes didnt dry properly. They\were still damp after one cycle. Took two cycles to dry completely. I will NEVER order an appliance from them again!! ... show more

Dryer does not come with electrical cord or the exhaust vent hose. But the old one easily hooked up to the new dryer. Many of the reviews about this dryer talk about how the delivery went. They say that the delivery people brought the dryer in the house and hooked it up for you and took the old one away.... none of that happened for me. Once I got the old dryer out and the new dryer in (brother came over and helped me) it was a pretty simple Phillips screwdriver to hook up the old dryer electric cord to the new dryer. And my old exhaust hose slid right over the new dryers exhaust vent. Plugged it in and she worked great... super quiet compared to the old one. If u use the auto dryness setting to dry your clothed the "finished buzzer" seems to buzz at you over (every few minutes) and over till it gets u out of bed to get ur clothes..lol so if u intend to have a load dry at bedtime... use the timed drying function.. Overall I am happy I made the purchase. Not worried about the dryer burning my house down anymore. Strongly recommend ... show more

We had a Sears Kenmore dryer for 25 years that finally said goodbye. Went to the usual orange and blue big boxes to replace it, but they couldn't deliver for a month or more.
