Having very little storage space in my kitchen was why I needed the retractable cord. I do not use the storage part to store the mixers attachments, that takes up too much room.     • Nearly IMPOSSIBLE to eject beaters
We had been looking for a beater that was easy to eject. The first thing we did upon receipt was insert beaters and try to eject them. It took almost all my strength to do it. There was a slip inside that told us to call customer service before returning it. I tried, but got some kind of strange promo company. I looked up Kenmore customer service number where the agent gave me the number of small appliance customer service. I called and almost right away it switched to Spanish. I speak a little and there wasn't any way to get back to English. So, caveat emptor. ... show more

    • Good mixer, but I wish my old one was still working.
My old hand mixer of 20+ years finally bit the dust, and I really loved that mixer! It had retractable cord and the speeds shifted easily. I miss it. But this one serves the purpose. It has the retractable cord which works well. And I like the storage unit at the bottom for the attachments. Since I have the space for each item, I store the mixer next to the storage unit so there won't be any surprises if it would come unattached. I didn't experience that, however. Just knew it might happen. My only disappointment is the lowest setting is fast. Those reviews are accurate. But if you move to the higher setting then back down to the lowest, it does slow down. Kind of a nuisance - depends on how you use your mixer. I like to do some mixing by hand with a whisk, so this isn't a deal breakder for me. Cleans easily.     • Left beater continually falls out while mixing
Left beater has been falling out while mixing since the first time I started using this mixer. Unfortunately, it continues to do so. For this reason, I’m junking it and buying a new one. Also, there seems to be no low setting on this thing.

Noisier than the Oster I had to replace because I couldn't find new beaters. I bought it mainly for the retractable cord and you need to be careful when using that feature. Otherwise, it snaps the cord in so fast that it could cause an injury. There is a place to insert the plug while retracting the cord but it pulls out of that. It does the job so I hope it lasts as long as my Oster did. ... show more

I was extremely disappointed when I received this mixer. The description shows the country of origin as Canada but the box clearly states that the product is Made in CHINA. I would not have purchased it if I knew it was made in China. The description information should be corrected.
