Thrilled about this new dishwasher. Easy to install and looks great in my kitchen. So many settings for any type of cycle. I love the half load option. I did have to test a few options to get my dishes to dry properly. Extra dry and high heat work well for that. Clean dishes ok,noise level is okay, drying not great but all Dishwashers that are new in the USA do not dry good do to new regulations we have,but if it breaks forget it Kenmore can not get parts for the unit from vendor from Turkey waited 4 months no parts had dishwasher for a week then unit failed. They cut me a check 4 months later saying sorry we can not get the parts here your money back good luck. I would recommend it if parts where ever available for the unit. I am very happy with this dishwasher. It is an upgrade from the basement bargain version it replaced, but it also has a lot of bells and whistles I didn't know I needed but now love. This has stainless steel insides with deep upper and lower baskets and an additional thin rack at the very top for lids, long-handled spoons, or other cookware that won't stand upright well or blocks the spinner. The operating menu is digital but large and easily legible. It is out of sight when the dishwasher is running or the door is closed. I LOVE the delay function so we can set it before we go to bed and have clean dishes in the morning. This is also great if you live where electricity has peak times so you can run it at cheaper hours. Speaking of sound - this is a very quiet dishwasher. We suspected as much when we unboxed it and saw how thick the wrap-around blanket was. I've lived in a lot of places and installed a lot of dishwashers and never seen one with such a thick batting for sound-proofing. That pays off because when it's full of dishes and running, I don't mind if my husband runs it before we sit down to watch a movie in the next room. We just don't hear it! It has a red light at the bottom that reflects on the floor when running, then turns green when done. At first we thought we missed something during the install, but then realized it's supposed to do this and now I kind of like it. The top basket has 'cup shelves' for coffee cups or lids so you can possibly stack things, and these shelves also double for wine or stemmed glasses. The lower rack has tines that can be adjusted if you've got larger dishes or pots and pans to configure. The manual explains how to raise or lower the upper rack but I haven't had a chance to play around with that feature, although I admit this has a deeper upper basket anyway so I'm not sure that is a needed function. The silverware baskets can be put together or disconnected so you can configure it the way you want. Installation wasn't as easy as the book made it sound, however, in part because of our kitchen set up and the length of the drain hose from the dishwasher. We made it work without having to buy anything, and it does install like a standard dishwasher. If you've installed one before, you won't find any surprises. Be aware: this dishwasher must be either hard-wired in to your existing space, or you'll have to take the electric plug off your old machine and install it on this one. ... show more

This Kenmore dishwasher is quiet, cleans like a champ, and holds more dishes than my emotional baggage. The third rack is clutch, even though its small... but fits the big cooking spoon and BBQ tools, TurboDry actually dries (shocking, I know), and it doesn’t sound like a jet engine taking off. Also the fact my 2 year old cant find the buttons, makes this a masterpiece! Lost one star because nothing in life is perfect—except maybe coffee. Still? Press start and walk away like a hero. This is the worst dishwasher. We have tried all sorts of troubleshooting ideas and still the dishes come out greasy and dirty and they don’t get dry. My final complaint is the layout of the dishwasher is awkward and low.
