So I just recieved my product and I am obsessed already. It came in 2 days after ordering and packaged with care. Everything was there as described and it worked like a charm. There are some reviews about the suction level and some buyers say its not strong enough. My experience was, the suction is just fine. I do see what people are saying though....when you change the diamomd head to the smaller ones with the smaller hole, the suction drops significantly. I wish there was more suction on the nose head so you could get some black head removal satisfaction out of it but it was not designed for that. I use the suction on max level with the small diamond tips. My skin felt amazing and there wasn't much of a recovery. The next day my face felt like I had just gotten a facial. If you pay to go get this done then you are throwing money away. Invest it in one of these machines and save some serious bucks. Its easy and it was 100% as effective as a professional job. It's truly a game changer. I would like to add that anyone buying this also buy a toner to put on afterwards because it will balance you ph levels. It's important to use good products on your face but usually when you get this done they put a toner on afterwards. If you have peptide cream, after treatment is an amazing time to rub some of that in too. Might as well rub some growth factors too. :) I am already sharing on my FB page how much I love this product and this will be a product I won't stop talking about anytime soon. I will come back in 6 months and 12 months and update on longevity of this product. Don't let this product pass you by for another cheap, handheld wand. Invest the few extra bucks and you will not regret it !!!!! I am an average Amazon customer and do not work with this company so my reviews are honest and my own experience.

I bought this machine about 9 months ago. My neighbor, who is a professional make up artist, saw this and remarked that I have diamond-brasion at its finest. I looked at demos on You Tube and read the instructions, but it was pretty intuitive to use. I had tried mild chemical peels but I had to wait several days to even see the results--- this method is much easier and less scary. You see results right away and have complete control. For the first few months I used it every week, but I find that once or twice a month works fine. Having this machine lets me work on my hands, arms, thighs, and it's a a nice treat that I could never afford if I went to a spa. The results are dramatic--dark areas are gone(this took some time and several treatments), brighter skin, less breakouts (right away), and blemishes can be smoothed down to almost nothing. When using this, I keep an eye on the meter, when it does not return to zero, I change the small filter. This happens every few minutes. I find that a toothpick helps poke out old filters and can help seat a new on. I turn the machine off every time I change the filter. I clean the diamond tips with a very soft brush, liquid hand soap, place the clean diamond tips in a shallow bowl of alcohol, and then dry. The machine gives no evidence of a problem and expect it to last for years, but if it gave out tomorrow, I have already gotten my money's worth. This is a large machine, I would buy a smaller version from the same company next time, but that is a matter of taste.

I almost bought the Nubrilliance microdermabrasion machine after seeing an infomercial, but too many poor reviews and you had to keep buying disposable tips etc. I found this Kendal brand and for slightly more $ I got a solid quality machine with reuseable metal tips and a variety of different tips for different uses. Aside from "refinishing" my face I have found this invaluable for the huge ugly and sore zit I get once a month. Only one chin zit, but one horrible whitehead. This may sound gross, but I use my Kendall to suck out the pus after popping. It helps my zit to heal faster than when I tried to extract it by hand, and with less trauma to the surrounding skin. I too had the switch break, it was the plastic push button, not the switch itself that broke. One day, after a couple months of use I went to use it and the red plastic button had broken apart, as if the plastic failed. Aside from the white housing, this is the only plastic part in the unit. I could still use it, but eventually the rest of the button fell off. I contacted the seller (keep the papers that comes in the box as contact information is on it), and they immediatly mailed me another switch. I had to have my husband replace it because it does have to be soldered to the wires, but if he had not been able to do it, I am sure I could have sent it in for them to do but I don't know about the postage. Anyway, I bought mine last year so hopefully they realized there was a problem and got a new button supplier. I love having a professional machine at home. It has paid for itself many times over from salon appointments and the time convenience as well. The reviewer who had a bad experience should contact Shining Image and have them help her, no matter how long ago she bought it, because they would realize the problem is the button plastic. I doubt we are the only two with the problem and their customer service was great for me.

I just received my machine. I had never had a professional treatment before, and had never tried a home machine before either. I had to youtube how to do microdermabrasion because I was that clueless. I also knew from reading the previous reviews that the instructions would be lacking, so I went ahead and watched a video. It was pretty easy to figure out all the attachments, and after you've done that, there is only the switch of a button and the turn of a dial to deal with. Easy. I have a hard time on my forehead - where my deepens lines are - the suction just doesn't stay in contact with my forehead so don't seem to be able to get that good suction feeling while getting the 'sanding' feeling at the same time. I think it's just the curvature of the forehead though. It is not the machine because I can do the rest of my face just fine. I don't have anything to compare it to, but I will say that my face is nice and smooth afterwards. It wasn't too red .. ? I sort of expected more redness and shininess from the other reviewers experiences. I wondered if I wasn't pressing hard enough or if I was doing something wrong, but I've determined that I am using the machine correctly - it's almost impossible to not use it correctly, it can only go a certain way. I was hopeful that the smallest tips that say are for around the nose and eye area, and for blackheads, would pull the dirt out of my enlarged pores (age, I guess) but I don't notice any blackhead extraction happening. I washed my face prior to using, but didn't steam it - as someone else mentioned possibly doing first. I can't exclaim too much excitement about what it's done for my face, it's only been 2 uses so far, but I will continue to use it and my take on it is that I'm offering my face a nice exfoliation and much deeper cleaning, hopefully with more product penetration. I know my deep forehead lines, and my '11's won't be eliminated with this machine, but maybe they'll become a little less loud. These machines are expensive (for me) and it was a splurge. I hope with continued use, the results will be more recognizable, but I certainly am glad I have this in my possession now so I can fight the good fight against the sun damage and age that is creeping up on my 40 year old face - fast! If you can afford this sort of thing, no big deal, then get it! If you're on the fence, I'd say it's a luxury item, offering good exfoliation.

I bought this machine and wanted to wait a few months before writing my review. Firstly, I'm 32 and suffer from cystic hormonal acne, regular pop up zits, and have hypo acne scars. Whenever I went to the spa and got microdermabrasion, I immediately saw a difference. However, the spa is $150 a visit. Not so convenient for my bank accounts. So, I did A LOT of research for my own machine to invest in my skin. This machine kept popping up as the number 1 rated. I took a deep breath, and purchased the machine. My results are outstanding. I use the machine every Tuesday and Friday evening. My acne is nearly nonexistent (a few pop up for the time of the month- can't help that) but the machine kills the redness and the bump. It has also drastically helped my scarring. My mom saw an immediate difference in my skin and wanted me to do her face. She has a deep scar under her eye (a tumor removed as a baby.) I do her face once a week and it's really helping her scar. This is by far one of the best purchases I've ever made. After every treatment I clean the tips with rubbing alcohol. I should also note that I use all Mario Badescu products and immedialty put his toner on my face after the treat followed by moisturizer. I'm also on birth control, vitamins, and a hair skin and nails vitamin. All of this combined with the machine has changed my life. I saw some reviews with people bruising: your suction is TOO high and/or you're pressing WAY TOO hard. You need to watch how-to videos on YouTube, that's what I did. Best investment. Not one trip to the spa since this purchase. Hope this helps! #JUSTBUYIT!!! :)

I've been watching this product for about a year, now. I wanted to make absolutely sure my money was well spent and it was! I was so fearful when I finally pressed "Place Order". I've only used it once and have seen the same result as my standing once a month MedSpa appointment. No joke, not only does it feel the exact same, but the suction is just as powerful. There is a learning curve, but I'm confident once I'm more comfortable with it, I'll be able to use it with more precision and less fear. The most important thing to remember is don't get addicted to this machine. One should only perform microdermabrasion on a particular are no more than once every 21 days. You can do some real damage to your skin, long-term, if you use it more than that. I wouldn't recommend this product if you haven't had any microderm treatments performed by a professional. You should really know what they feel like and the risks before you buy this product. Cleaning it for personal use is easy. I just used a little alcohol soak and made sure they air-dried completely before storing them until next month's use. Overall I give this product a 4.5 stars for quality, moderate ease of use and powerful suction. It loses a half star because it would be easy to over-do it... it's that good.

This type of machine works by using suction to suck up dead skin, you glide the different Harshness rated diamond tips along your skin basically sanding your face, this thing will ABSOLUTELY NOT remove acne scars, old wounds etc, I honestly find this thing useless, it could maybe smooth out already nice skin, or improve a face that is naturally average, but if you actually have any damage done to you this will not fix it, in fact it will likely make it worse. This aggravated my friends acne and actually gave him an abscess on his cheek, you would need to use it hundreds and hundreds of times, basically sanding your face, and it will never get rid of ice pick pimple scars, or do anything other than smooth the skin. If you know this, good for you, I however spent nearly $300 on something that did nothing but scar a friend, and it was a birthday gift because they where self conscious and I wanted to help them beings they where talking bout the whole Derm Abrasion thing to me prior, so I figured hey, lets buy a machine! HEED THIS WARNING! I'm not some competitor, or out to ruin a business, it is what it is, and this is a quack device for obsessed rich people who want to hide wrinkles. If you're looking at this because you legit have a medical condition and are not vain, don't do it! Even if you applied all the correct substances, and sterilized the equipment, allowing time to heal, and repeated time and time again, this will NOT remove acne damage, heck it won't even hide it, it will just smooth the skin down, if reducing the size of a bump, while still having the hole and scar is worth $300 have at it. If you have a medical condition see a Dermatologist, don't go to a spa, to get real treatment you're going to need to pay a real doctor to help you.

This machine appears to be very solidly built with professional looking attachments that can be used for a wide variety of skin treatments. At first I was afraid that a machine offered to sale for the public might lack the power of a machine used in a professional setting but I now know that it offers more power than I would ever need and in fact the user must be careful to not overdue the procedures with either too much suction or diamond tips that might be too abrasive. Because you can only use it once a week I've still trying to fine tune what setting to use and to be careful with my technique as I move the tip across the skin to avoid too much abrasion in a single area so I'm not to the point where I'm seeing improvement happening very quickly but I believe that it is going to be effective once I can safely maximize the removal of dead skin, blackheads, etc. more quickly than I have done so far. It appears to be an economical solution to those people like myself who have undesirable skin conditions such as blotchy coloring and a somewhat unhealthy appearance that would require a very large number of sessions with a professional that would make the price prohibitive. It wasn't that expensive, it's well made, and from what I can see at this early stage I would recommend it to anyone who wants to improve the appearance of their skin.
