I love this thing. New car was delivered with very low tire pressure all-around. There are weird covers on the tires that made it nearly impossible to get the valve cap off the stem. I had to use pliers and very carefully with finger tips get the caps off to fill the tires. VERY annoying, and I dropped one of the caps inside the wheel (ultimately got it out). Learned about this gem of a tool and bought it. My wife's new car was ALSO very low tire pressure all-around (air costing more now?). This time, I used the Ken-Tool to get the valve stem covers off. Perfect. Easy, Smooth. Beautify. Pushed it all the way on and started turning. Caps came off the stems and stayed inside the tool. After filling, the tool aligned the cap to the stem since it was in relatively deep. Turned the tool to tighten and when it started resisting I pulled the tool off. Touched the caps with my fingers, and they were on solid. This is a life-saver for newer Tesla vehicles with the wheel caps, as they're nearly impossible to remove themselves. My only concern is that with use the interior of the tool will wear out and not grip as well. That being said, probably won't use it enough for that to happen I would think, and even if it did probably not for quite some time.

Clever little tool for tire work
Careless late-night scrolling struck again and i ended up with this Ken-Tool valve capper on my porch. I wrench on my own cars and bikes, plus the family minivan, so valve stems get a lot of abuse at my place. This thing lives in my garage drawer now. I grab it to pop off caps and swap valve cores when a tire is slowly leaking. The long handle gives good control and I don’t drop tiny cores on the floor anymore. I used it last weekend to fix a slow leak on my old Civic in five minutes while coffee was brewing. That alone made me glad I bought it.

Handy tool for quick tire cap removal

Handy little tool for valve stems
I got this Ken-Tool valve capper as a gift suggestion for my son-in-law, who’s always tinkering with tires in the driveway. It feels sturdy in the hand and the tip grabs valve cores firmly, so i don’t drop them in the gravel anymore. The cap end works well too and makes quick work of those tiny caps that are hard on older fingers like mine. My small gripe is the handle. After a longer afternoon helping him rotate tires, it started to feel a bit narrow and my hand got tired. For quick jobs it’s great, just not something i want to use for an hour straight. Still a handy thing to toss in the garage drawer, and he reallly uses it.

Handy little tool for valve work
I bought this for my small auto glass shop so my guys stop borrowing my old core tool and losing valve caps. We use it a few times a day swapping stems on customer cars while they wait at the front. The grip feels good even with dirty hands, and I like that I can twist off the cap and pull the core with the same tool instead of digging through a drawer. Yesterday a walk‑in with a slow leak was in and out in under five minutes. Tool did its job, no drama. For the price it just makes my life easier at the counter.
