  • Great tool!!! Instruct them to pack it in a secure manner
Size: One Size Style: Mt and Demount Iron
The iron is great! Shipping was terrible! Everything regarding the tool can be described simply as the right tool for the job. The length makes changing a cars and truck tires a breeze. As for myself, I chose the (34745) - It’s the shorter of the two versions in this model at (37 inches). I don’t have a need for anything longer. Some people claim you need two irons for dismount but I really don’t see why. Simply place a tire bead clamp, holder or long screwdriver on the initial starting point to prevent the bead from walking back and proceed with 12 inch progression as you pry and the tire will come off in a snap. Often with as few as 4 strokes. Taking off the back bead isn’t much of a chore either when you insert the bar on the backside and begin to pry; use a 4lbs mallet or like me use bead holder and step it off like you did the front side before. Be sure to use a solution of 50/50 dish soap water. This will make your efforts a positive experience. Carry some like you would with the other fluids, (oil, radiator coolant) in the trunk or wherever you keep it. About a liter / quart should do. I mentioned earlier about the packaging. Yes, it’s explicable how anyone could put a 4.5 lb long iron loosely in a rectangular box and secure with only packing-tape. It’s a break out of the box method. Please be sure to add delivery instructions l to your order! Be sure to tell them to (pack it in a secure manner so the tool will not leave the box before it arrives) or you’ll end up with a empty box delivered as it happened to me. (Wedge folding both ends will work much better) otherwise you will be waiting 10 days like me for the replacement. (Trust this advice) ... show more

  • Great tire irons
Size: One Size Style: Mt and Demount Iron
I have used this brand of tire bars for year. They make a great product.

  • Worth the one-time investment
Size: One Size Style: Mt and Demount Iron
I bought this and a 33220 spoon. They work great together and I managed my 1st pair of tires (7.50x15) without trouble in about 15 minutes total. I did go ahead and order one of their bead holders (31713) as slipping was my only minor issue.

  • Heavy duty timesaver
Size: One Size Style: Mt and Demount Iron
Bought two of these to be able to swap tubes/tires on my skid steers. I keep a container of used motor oil and put some on the spoons, and these help me get tires on and off real quick, while still mounted on the machine. the design lets you slip right under the bead, and with that lubrication allows the bead to slip back on during remount. ... show more

  • Tire spoon
Size: One Size Style: Mt and Demount Iron
Works well. Ground the lip off of the flat spoon as it would catch behind the tire.

  • Its the industry standard Ken-Tool
Size: One Size Style: Mt and Demount Iron
Theses are top of the line tire bars. I ordered the set with a long and short bar and decided I needed another short bar. I do find it is worth the time to take a flap wheel on your grinder and spent a little Tim polishing the spoons, they slip in and out of the bead much easier. They work just fine if you don't , but I think its worth doing. ... show more

  • Made short work of replacing a tire
Size: One Size Style: Mt and Demount Iron
I no longer take my classic cars to tire shops as the mechanics there don't know how to work on them. I was disappointed with a Harbor Freight tire changing kit and vowed to never use it again because it scratched my rims. Enter the classic tire iron. Get the longest one you can and watch a few videos. It made short work of popping the old tire off and getting the new one. The tire and tube change took about 15 minutes and I'm sure I could do it faster now that I have a little practice. ... show more
