  • Clutch bottle/drink holder for bike (and more)
Number of Items: 1
I originally actually go this bottle holder to use as a drink holder for the office, however, the receptacle was not wide enough for the Tervis mug I had in mind. Regardless, I did not send it back as I figured it could prove useful later, which was a wise decision. I later tried on my bicycle and it was perfect there. The aluminum bar mount is strong, study, and grips well, and using the attached shim does not damage the finish on my handlebar. The bottle cage likewise grasps my standard-width bike bottle firmly and without the rattling I got with my prior aluminum cage. The mount points on it also align perfectly with the standard bottle spacing on a down tube. As I had bought two of these and directly bolted the bottle mount to the down tube, I ended up using the leftover bar mount to replace the bar mount base for my NiteRider Lumina headlight, which had always been loose and wobbly. After a little modification to make said base work with the M4 diameter bolt the Kemimoto base uses, the Lumina is now rock-solid. So A++ for not only being a good product in itself, but being easily adaptable to cover up the shortcomings of others! ... show more

Purchased this motorcycle cup holder for my heavy duty Pride maxima mobility scooter. This product is of good quality not a piece of trash. Over sidewalks many uneven my scooter vibrates so I need a quality product to hold my 20 oz water bottle. This cup holder is really secure and fits various size drinks. Definitely worth the price and would buy it again. ... show more

  • Great item, but limited storage use.
Number of Items: 2
Disclaimer: While I give this a positive review, I actually had to return mine as they did not work out for me. Pros: - Sturdy construction. - Construction materials. - (For Desks) The clamp is well engineered and designed (minus the knob, see below) - For what it is able to hold, the overall design works well. Cons: - Small holder size - Due to the above, limitation of what can be used in it. - The angle of the top piece further limits what can be used in it. - The clamp is well designed but the knob that tightens the clamp could use some re-work. It gets tough to secure a tight enough grip on it once you're at the last stages of tightening. I bought these to add to my desk to put my drinks off the surface where I had expensive materials laying about. While I did measure prior to, I was confident most items I had would fit, even if very snug. The clamp to my desk (along with the included skid pad) worked great other than some difficulties with the knob, as indicated above. I tested a few items I had around, see below: Fit: - Any standard beer bottle. In my specific test, I used a stubby bottle from Alaskan Amber. - Any canned beverage the size of a soft drink or beer. - Any small bottle of water that has a proportion to that, or smaller than, the above 2 items. (My guess, as I did not have a specific item to test this with, is smaller than a 20oz bottle of water, but it depends on the design of the bottle.) Did not fit: - Takeya 18oz water bottle. I knew going in that it would not fit based on measurements provided by the manufacturer and what I measured, however, it may be helpful for those of you reading this to know out of the gate it's a no-go. - 16oz Beer Pint Glass. The glass goes in slightly and has a drastic lean on it. - 16.9oz Pure Leaf bottled (plastic) tea. The market for desk cup holders is prime for the taking with very limited selection, at least on Amazon, with only 1 real competitor. I'm not sure if the manufacturer actually reads any of these, but here are some suggestions if you would like to re-design and market one of these to desk users: - Remove the top angle piece, I assume this is designed to help keep the item in place while attached to a moving motorcycle, atv, etc. - Redesign the knob - Increase the diameter of the of the storage 'arms' to be 3.25" (or greater) - Add to the design the ability to accomodate different shapes, either through a tapered base, or some other mechanism. - In addition to, or in replacement of the above, add the ability for the arms to move to accept larger containers. Might allow to keep the initial 2.8" diameter, and allow the arms to move outward for larger containers. Instead of a flexible rubber, it would be nice to see something a bit more mechanical in design (maybe something like how the grip you have designed can be increased/decreased in size via a screw mechanism, something similar could possibly be adopted for the container storage 'arms'?) ... show more

  • will need modification
Number of Items: 1
I got this today and I put it on my desk. It is not as sturdy as I had hoped though it will work after I do some modifications to it. My cup had a rubber insulated gasket and there is an indent to allow the insulation rubber to be flush. There is a lip on the cup holder and it clamps onto the ridge and it takes two hands to get my cup out of the holder, not ideal. Because the insulation rides up when the lip on the cup holder hits it my cup won't go completely down, and because my cup is almost too tight to fit into the holder the screw holding the clamp onto the cup holder is partially in the way I have to manipulate the cup so it gets at least to the ridge in the cup. It is almost perfect for what I wanted, my other cup holder allowed my cup to fall out of the holder. My only worry with this one is it isn't as secure holding the desktop as I'd like, it has a lot of wiggle and seems secure even with the rubber bit you put in to prevent slipping. So I'd say this cup holder will work holding my cup AFTER I remove the lip which keeps clamping onto the cup and it is difficult to remove. Once I do the modification I think it will be pretty close to ideal. I need to make a modification to give the clamping bit more adhesion. The photo shows how the lip on the cup holder snags the ridge and prevents it from allowing the cup to be inserted completely into the holder, which will add more stability to the cup staying in the holder. It seems rather cheap. There was a small Phillips screwdriver along with the cup holder which is useful for small screws, not glasses but other small screws. I may recommend this but I'd add a caveat about the lip on the cup holder and the holder itself is not a large diameter size. I'm using a Contigo 24 oz cup and it barely fits into the holder. ... show more

  • Didn't hold up
Number of Items: 1
I bought this and attached it to my Can Am Spyder. It easily attached to the passenger grab bars and held on with a tight grip. The issue isn't with the alligator clamp, it's with the attachment to the bottle holder frame. The screw held. The composite material let go.
