I got this for a vacation. I love it! Cons: takes some getting used to a wobbly bottle... mouthpiece is really deep, so you have to let it drain before closing the lid to avoid dripping... opening isn't wide enough to get my hand in to really clean well. Pros: can fold really small for travel... nice sealed lid that doesn't leak!... clip to attach to bags, packs, belts, etc... great stim toy for fidgety people like me! I recommend! ... show more

Getting the smell out of the bottle was a bit time consuming. I did the 5 minute boiling per the instructions that came with the bottle and did not smell any difference. I then loaded the bottle up with baking soda water which I left in it for 24 hours. I would periodically shake the bottle while standing upright and then laid it on its side and rotated it. All of this did prove the bottle does not leak. After the baking soda it still had a very faint whiff of the plastic smell (I have a very good sense of smell as others in my family smelled nothing at this point). I then washed it with dish detergent and let it air dry for a few days - smell then gone. The cap is well designed and easy to drink from and then latch to keep it leak proof. It is a very tiny bit wobbly when fully loaded and upright but not serious and even if it does fall over it doesn't leak and the drink spout is fully covered by the latching lid. DO NOT lose the plug at the top of that cap as the bottle will leak. The only real negative about this bottle is the flimsy band used to hold the bottle in its folded position. I will be taking this bottle on a month long trip to Europe and have packed some rubber bands in case this provided band should break. It was a nice touch to include a carabiner. ... show more

I bought this for a hiking trip out to the Pacific. It collapsed nicely to put in a pocket of my backpack to get through security at the airport. It has a nice large flow of water, but you must tilt it up and squeeze it. Some bottles make you suck hard. I did like that you squeeze to get your water. BUT...first time on the trail, the rubber band that holds the bottle in the condensed position broke off. I wasn't even using that. I had a full bottle of water and just starting my hike. I actually found the rubber band on the ground, picked it up wondering what it was, then realized it was from my water bottle. Very disappointed it broke the first day out. Oh, I know people mentioned a smell or bad taste. I did not notice any smell upon opening the pkg but I did put in boiling water like suggested just to make sure no bad taste. Likes: - space saving roll up w/ tie to keep tight - vacuum release feature - versatility of drinking method (squeeze/ squirt, suck/pull). I like pulling the water, my kids like crushing plastic waterbottles as they drink. If one of them forgets their waterbottle, the other can use theirs as a water fountain/hose/ sports bottle so they don’t share "cooties" lol. - D ring comes in handy, as does the flip up/down carry handle - slim enough to fit in cupholders - condensation doesn't seem to be a problem - leak proof - easy to clean - simple lock hinge, button release - colors are fantastic. Dislikes: - Taste. I've washed, scrubbed, soaked, boiled, used various (lemon, baking soda, vinegar) in attempt to neutralize the odd taste but it just won't go away. It's a weird powdery taste. That can't be healthy. - all plastic top. It's weirdly rigid in contrast to the rest, and I just don't really like drinking straight from plastic. Also, if you are a /have chewers, this gets booggered up easily. - ergonomics (or lack there of) of the top. 1. The lid goes back far enough so it doesn't interfere with drinking, but it doesn't stay there - it whacks you in the face as soon as you lean back to take a sip. 2. The mouth opening is oval, and the top of the nozzle is slanted, so the only angle you can drink from is the front, with the lid in the middle front to fall back on your nose. Any other angle is awkward and usually results in spilling because of the shape of the mouthpiece. 3. Too much touching of the face. You smoosh your nose into the vacuum release button every time you drink, and your chin touches the front button latch. And the lid thwacks you in the face. Not only just annoying, this causes acne, and your water bottle top gets dirtier. 4. The mouth opening is both too large and too small. Larger than what is comfortable to put your lips around, and smaller than what is comfortable to put your lips inside. If the sides of the nozzle were tapered, that would be preferable, but even just smaller would make more sense. Would be thrilled if they would make some improvements here. Would be great if there was more space in the top, and why not just use a silicone mouthpiece??? ... show more

Better than expected. They were nice to fold up and pack for planes and backpacks. Took them to Disney and they worked well. They can be a bit wobbly but they were mostly stored in a backpack. You'd need deeper pockets for them to fit in the sides pockets of backpacks.

This water bottle is awesome for traveling. I took it with me on a trip to Bogota, Columbia. It was very easy to refill and very easy to roll up and store. I gave a 4-star rating because when I am drinking from the bottle I have to hold it up so that the water comes out. Used it on a motorcycle camping trip. Not sure the space saving aspect is all that compelling, since I would usually store things inside the bottle if it wasn't full of beverage.
