I've got various styles of solar pathway lights in my yard and these felt a little cheap when I opened them up. The first thing I noticed was that the battery doesn't seem to stay in it's place very well and a lot of them had the battery cover popped off when I opened the box. I can't see them lasting very long. The best thing about them was that they are an 8 pack, so there were plenty to fill the space I had left. I am so, so pleased with this 8 pack of black plastic, in ground, solar walkway lights. Very nicely manufactured, packaged very well against possible damage in shipment these stick in the ground lights are just what I needed to line the entrance to our driveway. These lights are easy to assemble, provide a very nice light which lasts well after I go to bed and are a lovely accent to any walkway, garden bed or patio. They do seem to be made of lightweight plastic but I think they will hold up well against the elements. I like the fact that the casings of the lights are black which disappears against the plants in the background and allow them to sort of disappear from sight. I really appreciate the fact that you receive 8 lights for the price which is now unusual and allows you to do a complete area with one set of lights. These don't feel very sturdy or long-lasting but they look very nice and I'm happy about that. The light design on the ground makes the walkway well-lit and gives a lot of interest because of the design. Since they aren't very expensive, they're a good value, but I don't expect them to last more than a year or two. ... show more

I love these solar lights, and they create such a beautiful pathway at night! They are so easy to put together and install, it only takes about 5 minutes. Right out of the box all you have to do is switch on the power button, put the two pieces together and pull out the stake that is inside of the bottom to put them in the ground. These don't even need full sun for them to light up at night. Where I have them, the sun does not shine as bright on all of them the same, but it doesn't effect how they shine when it gets dark. ... show more

They work well, are not expensive, have eight in the order, work well, and last a long time. They do need to be kept clean on the solar panel to maximize charging. They need a lot of sun in daylight. You need to rotate them if some are in a more shaded area.

At less than five bucks each, these lights are probably good for a season or two, but not much more. Plastic feels thinner than most lights in this price range. These are warm white only, no cool white mode. (I missed that mention in the description. I use all cool white in my solar landscape lighting. Mixing cool and warm doesn't look good.) ... show more

I ordered these solar lights to replace some old ones that I had in my garden that either didn't work or had terribly faded due to years of use. The lights are made of plastic but they don't feel flimsy and seem well made. They were very easy to assemble and install in the garden. My favorite feature is the cast of light that they give onto whatever area you place them in. The "glass" does have texture and that texture is displayed so beautifully once the lights come on.
