We purchased this for our spare bedroom and we're very pleased with the build quality. It's made mostly of solid wood and seems very sturdy. The directions could be a little better because some of the parts are hard to determine which side will be hidden and which will be visible. This caused us to have to disassemble and reassemble a few things. Be warned this item requires a good amount of assembly, and you will need at least one helper.
