Definitely cheaper options available, but worth it for seamless fit with LS50Meta. I needed the speakers to be bolted to the stands for stability. Most other options didn’t seem to line up properly, so I decided to go with the KEF S2. Glad I did, I think they look great and are rock solid. Waiting for my KC62 sub in to come in and I’ll be all set up!

In a sentence, do not advertise cable management to an audiophile if you don’t provide it. Sanus paper/plastic wire guides on the outside of the center poles are a complete joke, and they broke upon installation as if it mattered. The $400 26” KEF stands I bought hide the speaker cables inside the pole. Other brands might do the same. Case closed.

Obviously these stands are a bit overpriced for what they offer, but they are nice stands. I've always used Sanus Systems Steel Series stands for my smaller speakers, which are far less expensive than these KEF stands; however, I will say that the KEF stands are a step up in overall quality. I love how they look with the matching color of LS50 Meta speakers, and I love that I was able to screw the speakers onto the stands for greater stability and better sound (supposedly). I filled them with sand, too. One drawback (depending on your preference) with these compared to Sanus speaker stands that I've used is that the way the adjustable spikes work is more tedious than how Sanus does it (with a nut you tighten down after you get the spike in the right position). With the KEF stands, you turn the spike with a mini wrench (included) and once you have it where you want it, you then screw in one of those little side screws into a small hole to pin the spike in place. It's not terrible, but it takes quite a bit more effort to get it done. I also wonder what damage that side screw/pin does to the thread of the spike where it makes contact. It does look better than the nut method, but who looks at the spikes under the stand, anyway? Still, overall, if you have matching KEF speakers, it might be worth it for you to get these stands. I sure love them and don't regret spending the extra money.

I was skeptical shelling out for this high price tag item… I have the LS50 Wireless Speakers. I had been positioning them on wooden kitchen stools at (nearly) the same height as theses stands. The sound was very good, but I was beginning to miss my Devialet Phantom 2 98dB speakers…they sounded amazing, but I had to return them because of near daily Wi-Fi connection/signal dropping issues (it was maddening). I actually ordered these stands for the aesthetics (they are cool looking), to save space (stools are wide-ish) and to manage cables (power & Ethernet & hdmi). I was actually stunned by how much better the sound quality is with these stands. Noticeable improvement for sure. Don’t know why, really…but I’ll take the win!! Now liking them better than the phantom 2s !! Score!!

These are very sturdy and can be made even more stable by adding the optional sand in the tubes. The deal breaker is the solution to protect your floor. The are designed to be on carpet with hard metal spikes on the bottom. For a floor, they come with 1” discs with a tiny cup the spike sits in. They do not permanently attach and while trying to sneak them under the spikes, your floor will get little pinpoint dents into them. But wait! Try to carefully slide the whole assembly into a corner with the heavy LS50 speakers on it and they easily slip off with the potential for a serious gouge in the floor. Given the cost of the speakers and the stands is over $3000, you’d think they could throw in a better solution. Hell, I’d even pay more for a better option if they even offered it. Totally ridiculous engineering.

I purchased a Titanium Gray S2 stand for use with a Kef LS50 Wireless II. The best feature of the stand is that you can bolt the speaker to the stand securely. Otherwise, the stand has a few problems. First, the gray stand does not exactly match the color of the gray speaker. The stand gray color is slightly lighter and more silvery than the speaker. Not a big difference, but it's noticeable in most lighting. Second, the stand isn't as heavy or sturdy as I would expect for a stand this expensive. The center of gravity with the speaker attached is too high. Third, the speaker is a little too low for ideal listening - at least for a six foot person sitting on a low-slung sofa, the speaker is a few inches below ear-level.

All items in box came unwrapped and just tossed loose into the box. Stands were scratched. Assembly tools were missing. All washers and set screws were missing. One foot was missing. Very disappointing for a $500 item. When they were previously returned, no one inspected it before sending it to me. You would think the obvious "clanking" of metal inside the sealed box would have been a give-away. Second delivery had no issue.
