This thing is sharp, pulling out of the protective case nearly cost me a thumb lol. This cut through my projects like butter and was so impressed by how quiet it is. Review: HORUSDY Torx Socket Set | 34-Piece Torx Bit Socket Set | S2 Steel Socket | Solid Star & Tamper Proof | T6 ~ T70 This is a comprehensive Torx Socket Set. It has 34 sockets total, of which 17 are Solid Star and 17 are Tamper Proof. The bits are made of S2 Steel and Chrome Vanadium Steel, CR-V. S2 steel is formulated to be very good at resisting shock and vibrations. This will help the bits stay sharp and not become rounded over. This is some of the best steel for making bits. I really like that each socket is marked with its size, which is the standard. What is not standard is that the box has each space marked with the size of each socket. There is also a card inside the box that shows where each socket is, and the size of which socket belongs there. This set does have a few drawbacks for me. First, the box does not have the snap in feature that keeps the sockets in place without them falling out. When I opened the box, I was holding it sideways. Several sockets easily rolled out of their place onto my table. Later, the case slipped out of my hand and dropped two inches onto my table. When it landed several sockets bounced out of their slot. This can become a real frustration. Second, the closures on the box are not solid, good closures. EVERYTIME, I opened the box, one of the closures would completely fall off and had to be re-connected. Other than these two issues, this is a very nice set.

I got this to use in my TwoTrees TTC450 CNC w/ 500w spindle upgrade. The primary reason I needed a down-cut is because I'm going to be doing some carbon fiber parts and want nice clean edges...down-cut bits will help prevent de-laminating little threads in the carbon fiber. The 1/16" diameter means I can get nice sharp inside corner cuts on small parts, and also to punch out small screw holes. The 1/4" cutting depth is perfect for this application, as the thickest stuff I ever cut is 5mm carbon fiber, and 1/4" is plenty enough for that depth. It's actually just exactly right for 5 mil carbon fiber plate. Just remember, it's a 1/16th inch bit, so go easy on the X and Y speeds, especially on harder materials. If you do any work with cf, this is probably a bit you should consider adding to your arsenal. 5 stars.

The media could not be loaded. I used this to make a deep jewelry box (~1.25 inches) and it worked very well for this. I like using 1/4" bits for operations like this and I needed one that was long and straight. A down cut might work better for this operation but the up cut did a decent job as well. Overall I am happy with how well this bit worked.
