I like these new hikers from Keen, ok, they look kinda muddy now because I just came back from a 4 mile hike! The best part was, I didn’t even think about my feet because they were comfortable. Enough toe room and good ankle support. The price really is impressive also. I would buy these again. Good traction for hills and wet terrain, not too heavy on my feet and easily adjustable laces give a firm fit.

i just went through quite a few hiking boots, and I choose 2 as my top choices. I want a mid-ankle boot that provides a lot of ankle support. Both the Keen Targhee 3 and the Merrill Moab 3 boots fit the bill. Here's the difference...the Keen Targhee was made better, had more foot padding and felt a bit more substantial. I had to put shoe stretchers in my Size 9 because I could feel the interior ribbing against my toes. After the stretch, it fit perfectly. (The size 9.5 was way too long!). Same with the Merrill's so it could just be the length of my foot. I choose the Keen Boots. I am very satisfied with my Keen boots...but there is a major problem. THE LACES ARE PRETTY BUT D**** WORTHLESS!!! The laces have too much polyester is them so they slip, and slip, and slip. Even surgeon's knots come untied. If you tie a regular shoe tie, the laces are untied in about 10 steps...every time!!! I have since ordered non-slip boot laces. So, I recommend these boots...but the manufacturer/designer puts laces on these boots that are for looks only! I would think that Keen would provide a non-slip lace with their well made boots - but they don't!! Check the reviews.

Good quality, sturdy walking, hiking boots and general everyday wear. Good arch supports. I have pronating ankles and a crushed foot. They are much better than any footwear my podiatrist prescribed. I can wear them all day and be comfortable and not worry about twisting my ankles. I love them.

I was in need of hiking boots and these were so much cheaper than at the store for the exact same product. I told the store clerk I’m just going to save $100 and buy on Amazon.. they’re very grippy- perfect for hiking and true to size for me.

There are so comfy! I have a real problem with needing a wide foot bed and these really accommodate my funky shaped foot. (Bunion, hammer toes, etc). I haven’t worn them in the rain yet so not sure how waterproof yet, but a great start! Update*** they are waterproof! I’ve worn them maybe a double handful of times and the fabric loop for the laces has already broken. Seeing as these are rugged boots I would think that things wouldn’t start to break after wearing them occasionally.

I found this boot by searching Best WARM winter hiking boots. I have yet to find a wool /wool blend sock, or sock & sock liner combination that keeps my toes warm in my daily hour walk in the 30°s. I bought 1/2 size larger, and a big PRO, roomy toe box, so that's not the problem. They just don't feel thick enough to be insulating. No break in needed, but they just don't feel comfortable, or cradling to the foot. Also, the Keen site touts the flexibility of the sole and it is so thin...one reason I think they aren't warm. Also the thinness of the sole leaves me with tired feet. The cleat spaces on the sole are small and pick up gravel that has to be picked out after each daily walk. They are barely mid-high compared to every other mid-high I've owned. They are mid-ankle. The tongue is barely wide enough and I have serious doubts as to their waterproof quality because of that. Nice looking and seem well-made. I probably wouldn't have kept them except they were used too much before I knew they are not warm.
