Top Amazon Reviews

  • Not lasting quality Not lasting quality
Color: Cascade Brown/Brindle Size: 10.5 Wide
I originally left these shoes a 5 star review because they felt very comfortable and worked well for a couple months when I did landscaping, but I decided to update my review with this: For a while, I was a pretty big fan of Keens. My whole family was wearing them, but in one way or another, inferior quality has lead to a lot of our shoes kicking the bucket way too early. I've owned about 3 pair of Keen Utility Lansing Mids and all of them had issues in the sole. I used them for work and after about 3-4 months, large bulges began to form in the sole, becoming extremely uncomfortable and causing blisters on my feet. The photo above shows where I marked the shape and size of the bulge in red. I reached out to Keen repeatedly about this problem, but every Keen Lansing I owned did the same thing, and eventually the service team at Keen decided they were not going to stand behind their product anymore and essentially fired me as a customer. In the end, it worked out. Keen is just not right for people who actually use their shoes for their intended purpose, and it's better to not get your expectations high about them and if you want good quality, look elsewhere. I've gotten multiple pair of their hiking boots for my son, and they're just built so poorly and fall apart after a couple months. When I consult about this issue at many shoe stores, all the feedback I get is the same, and their warranty/return rate is very high. It's the same across the board. ... show more

  • Great work shoes.
Color: Raven/Tawny Olive Size: 12 Wide
The most comfortable steel toe work shoes I’ve ever worn. I walk about 10+miles a day at work and these are the first shoes I’ve found that don’t fall apart after a few months. They fit great. I do find that these pair don’t have great traction on slick surfaces but I don’t think they said they were slip resistant. ... show more

  • Resistente
Color: Dark Olive/Black Size: 8
They are super comfortable for work, protect the toes, and are soft yet extremely resistant to harsh materials.

  • Not a bad boot.
Color: Mulch/Shitake Size: 10
These boots are extremely comfortable and stand up to all types of weather. They are a little heavy, which one would expect from the steel toe. The only thing is the sole tends to separate from the boot. My old pair lasted about three years only wearing a few times a month when visiting job sites. I'm not sure how they would hold up if I wore them everyday. ... show more

  • Paleontologist approved. I have hiked 112 miles in these so far
Color: Bison/Black Size: 12
I’m a field Paleontologist. It’s not all just dinosaurs and other cool fossils, I hike a LOT. I hiked 112 miles last month on mitigation/survey work and my company let me expense a pair of boots. These were the ones I picked after intense deliberation. They are perfect. It was February so it was cold, and they are such warm boots, they have great traction on ice and frosted ground, they fit like a glitch and they are so durable, 112 miles into wearing them and they still look and feel brand new with no visible wear and tear. They are insanely light weight for a steel toed boot, less than 2 pounds each with is perfect. If you need a pair of hiking boots with a steel toed boot, GET THESE. ... show more

  • Good and bad
Color: Black/Steel Grey Size: 9.5 Wide
These took a while to break in. In the end, I needed to use a leather stretching spray and multiple pairs of socks to get them to loosen up. Then, standing in the creek and walking them dry a few times will do the trick. Unlike some reviews, the waterproofing was fine for me, although they are only mid-height, so I could see people getting their socks wet from above the boot. It's a decent boot. However, these caused some serious achilles issues for me that sidelined my marathon training for 5 months. It took me that long to realize it was the boots that were actually causing it. Not really sure why, but I've seen other reviews citing ankle issues, so just know that is a thing apparently. ... show more
