Weighing 25.3 oz / 717 g (per boot), made with durable, waterproof leather, and featuring a moisture-wicking lining the Independence 6" composite toe waterproof work boots for men are built off KEEN's traditional wider footwear form. KEEN Utility products offer removable insoles. These dependable work boots are great for medium-duty work in construction, masonry, utilities, landscaping, maintenance, and transportation. All KEEN Utility products are consciously created using PFC-free water repellent, and leather sourced from Leather Working Group (LWG)-certified tanneries. KEEN Utility believes in creating work boots that make work and life better. I am a farmer and my daily shoes are safety boots. I go through 2 pairs minimum every year. I always try different brands and I wanted to try this low cost brand. The size is good but the comfort is below what I expect of shoes I wear 14h per day. Both shoes are killing my ankles and shaving skin away. This is the first time I experience such a discomfort. +'s : Great toe box for a guy with wide toes. Solid leather and build, good ankle support. Nice traction -'s: Longer breaking time, a little heavy, ZERO breathability for hot feet. Cheap insoles Contractor in Ohio. Keen waterproofing is great at keeping water out but keep in mind that also means it keeps water in. Not hot weather approved. Seemed to take a Solid 2 wks to break in. Solid leather and great toe cap. Quality laces I just wish they sold a vented version and they'd be my go to boot ... show more

Great ankle support. Great traction (do hold rocks though). The laces are stretchy and to long, hard to keep tied without double knots. No support behind the toes. Little to no stretch after wearing for a month. I like the look and that they are American made. Need a little more cushion.

Only nit to pick is that the laces are either too short to wrap around the back or too long if you don’t. I put on some shorter ones. Plenty comfortable, composite toe is about exactly the same weight as the soft toe (I have a pair of both). Good toe room. I’m barefoot when I’m not at work, and these boots squash the toes together much less than any other boot I’ve tried. Insoles are maybe not as good as Redwing, but if not they they are #2 in the world, which isn’t bad at all. ... show more
