These are the third pair I have purchased in three years. I still have and use the previous pairs. I wear these daily in the shop or in the yard, garden and woods. I like that they provide good support, have a wider toe box which makes the fit better, and are waterproof. With this pair, the fit was comfortable right out of the box. No break in required. The laces provided with these are a better length as well. The previous two had laces that were too long. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the glue on parts of the sole and toe cap starts failing between 1 and 2 years. I have been able to regular them to keep them functional, but at this price point, the glue should hold up longer. ... show more

It’s really too early to offer a comprehensive review because I have only had these shoes for a couple weeks but my initial assessment is very positive. I really like the appearance from both a quality and style perspective. They are comfortable but could use just a bit more sole cushioning. They run a little big. I love the roomy toe box! And I appreciate being able to order a size W. When I wear them casually, I loosen the laces for even more comfort but when hiking, I snug things up. I’ve wanted to try these shoes for a long time but hesitated because of the cost. They are worth ever Penny spent! I have been wearing these for a year for daily walks and I haven’t noticed any unusual wear. They are on the narrow side for me. I bought wide and they fit a little tight. Not so much that I can’t walk three or four miles in them every day
