I ordered this kit to get my key fob out of my truck I locked inside… I tried having a spare made from the vin while waiting for this kit to arrive but they wouldn't work. Once I got the kit it took me longer to walk to the truck than it took to get my door open. I have it now in case I do it again. It worked flawlessly just like the videos I watched on YouTube. Works great and the price is good too!

You get exactly what you see. Can be very helpful if you forget your keys in the car and lock it. But there is some better quality and engineered stuff like this available for a very similar price

I got locked out last year and watched a guy with a ramp truck pull out a kit just like this and get in in a couple minutes. The only thing I had to do was stay out of the way and turn off the alarm once he opened the door. Plastic wedge in the door corner, insert a little pillow to pump up the gap, reach in with an aluminum rod and pop the handle in the side of the door. Thanks, that'll be $100. Not anymore. This sits in the garage where other family members can get it and drive the 10 minutes into town where the unlucky person is. There's a cool loop for door knobs that pull up. Try it. Watch The 'Tube on how to use this stuff. Easy peasy.

If you get in a pinch they would be good to have, but I used them on one lockout call and they kept unscrewing. I bent them so I could access the vehicle and so that when I pushed the unlock button they wouldn't unscrew. But, the kit comes with some other useful tools such as the slim jim, as well as the loop to grab buttons with. Honestly, I would look on other locksmith websites and buy something of a little more quality. However, if you just want a kit to keep around for whatever kind of emergency might arise, its nice to have.
