I really like these as opposed to others I have tried. These last and the students prefer them to ear buds offered. They last about a year with over a hundred students x 185 days! So that’s pretty good. I bought more this year to replenish!

These looked more durable than other pairs I researched on here (in this price category) but 5% didn't work out of the box. Another 20% failed within a couple of weeks and by about 3-4 months 55-60% had failed. By the end of the year about 85-90% had failed. The remaining few that still worked when summer hit only have volume in one ear. I admit that I did loose about 10% to pure abuse by 1-2 students, which I put a stop to, but the rest just failed over time under typical handling by 11-12 year olds. It was common for the speaker to detach inside the headphone and create an echo effect that rendered the headphones useless. There were also issues with the cords getting kinked and the wires damaged. This could be slightly mitigated by keeping the headphones in separate bags (to avoid cord entanglement) and training students how to correctly remove the headphones from the jack. I also had students accidently drop them on the floor and it usually took 1 drop for the speaker to be detached in at least 1 ear. Clumsy behavior is to be expected in the 6th grade and these just didn't respond well to being dropped on occasion. They might have held up better with older students (high school) who are well trained and consistent in how they handle the headphones. For younger students, if each student was assigned a personal set they felt personal responsibility for, then maybe these could work for younger students. But I had 4 sections of 6th grade, so that wasn't really possible. As a results, the vast majority of these did not last an entire school year. I do think you do get what you pay for. I did shop around and see that there are much more durable headphones out there but they were all much more expensive. This is not a lot of money for very affordable BUT delicate speakers. I wouldn't buy again or recommend for the typical middle or elementary school classroom. ... show more

What I like about these is that I can spray them with Lysol and wipe them down after each use as I use them in a public school classroom. Because the ear pads are plastic instead of cloth or foam or some kind of mesh, they easily wipe clean. Students can be rough on headphones. I recommend using black duct tape and taping the slide extenders on both sides because that is the weakpoint of this product. Students have destrpoyed them pulling a bit too hard when trying to extend them to fit their head. Having said that, if its just you buying a pair for you---they are great! ... show more

I ordered these for my kindergarten class and ,as you might guess, they can be a little rough. After about 5 months, we had several issues with them. I activated the warranty when I first received the headphones, reached out to the company and was IMMEDIATELY sent a complete new set! To say I was thrilled is an understatement! I bought these headphones for my special needs students to use with their iPads. They were great, if handled very carefully. Unfortunately, most of my students would hold them by the cord to put them away so they did not last long. Out of 12, only 2 are working two months after buying them.
