Purchased this to replace a non-supportive kayak seat. This has great support and was easy to install. I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs more back support when kayaking or canoeing. Also, easy to clean. I think this is a quality item.

the seat comes with 2 sets of straps on each side, one set higher and one lower. the lower strap sets are not useful on a sit in kayak as they are meant to keep the seat from sliding forward ( the top sets pull the seat top forward) , but you need to anchor the bottom of the back somehow. in the 3 pictures, the yellow kayak shows prior to install. notice the seat back is fine but not comfortable as too short. i placed the new over the existing one placing the front anchors at appropriate distance forward as can be seen in the red kayak attaching the top set of straps. I removed the bottom sets of straps from the buckle ( leaving the buckle in place). Then used separately sourced velcro straps ( about 12” with a buckle) to tie the new seat to the old seat back securing it back and up. I haven’t used it yet but it is a huge improvement in comfort for my old back!

I purchased this seat for my iSUP as I like to ‘kayak’ on my board. The bottom cushion is nicely padded, though could be a tad wider. I found the straps to be a bit flimsy. They are on the thin side and can be easily pulled out of the buckle, which could be a problem if trying to adjust then while out on a ride. The top straps could also be a bit longer. They are barely long enough to reach the front d rings and that brings the seat a bit more forward on my board than I’d like. Also, I wish there was a little more lumber support but overall it is a decent seat.

I bought this for my Oldtown Vapor 10 Angler and with a bit of mounting modification it works great. Gives amazing back support and seat comfort after 6 hours of fishing and paddling. Great value for the money.

I purchased two of these seats for sit on top lifetime kayaks. Both failed in the same manner within 30 minutes after install on an all day kayak trip. The exact same stitching failed on both seats. We both had to do the trip with the backrest not working. I am planning to return both seats. The seat cushion was well padded and performed well. I also did like the storage bag on the back of the seat.

Very comfortable seat. No instructions but easy to figure out. BEWARE : Each seat is bagged individually and then placed in one big bag. BUT all of the hardware was laying loosely in the bottom of the large bag, as if I was all just thrown in there. It was all there so that is a plus.

Bought this as a gift for someone. These are way nicer than the originals. Definitely thicker and come with a storage bag attached to the back to carry more things. I will have to drill out the original rivets from the kayak and that is there to me is a problem. Even though this comes with mounting hardware, it is bolt and nut and there is no way to use them on a kayak that is a closed system and you can not get behind the inner surface to use them. For hardware it should have also come with rivets which would work so I’ll have to go buy some rivets that will work. But over all as a gift, the other person was super excited to get these and can’t wait ti try them out.
