I just installed the seat with M5 well nuts from this set i purchased: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DGQS8BQ4?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1 I tried many bits but the 7/16th bit made a snug hole for the M5 wellnut. I had to work the bit in a circular fashion a few times to widen the hole but be careful not to overdo it. The wellnut needs to fit snug. I think wellnuts are better than rivots. Purchased this seat for my wife's kayak April 23 2023. We store in garage . Took kayaks out for 1st time since purchasing today June 15 2024. Halfway thru a 4.5 hour float. Do not recommend buying and wished I could get my money back. Complete piece of garbage. Only a nut inside seat fabric not even a washer.

I purchased this seat for my iSUP as I like to ‘kayak’ on my board. The bottom cushion is nicely padded, though could be a tad wider. I found the straps to be a bit flimsy. They are on the thin side and can be easily pulled out of the buckle, which could be a problem if trying to adjust then while out on a ride. The top straps could also be a bit longer. They are barely long enough to reach the front d rings and that brings the seat a bit more forward on my board than I’d like. Also, I wish there was a little more lumber support but overall it is a decent seat.

Edit #2: after messaging with the company, they have issued a refund on my order. For that reason, I’ve added one star. The product design is still bad so I can’t with good conscious give more than three stars on the seat. It’s comfortable while it lasts. Edit: remember to check your return by dates! I can’t return an $86 broken seat because it’s just over 30 days!! I bought this seat to replace the hard plastic seat back on my lifetime sit on top kayak. I use my kayak about once a week and have had the seat for a month. On the third trip, the seat made a popping sound and I noticed I couldn’t get it to set up straight. After inspection, two of the bolts have popped out of the bottom of the seat and can not be reinstalled. The bolts are a very bad design. It was comfy while it lasted :(
