Very comfortable seat. No instructions but easy to figure out. BEWARE : Each seat is bagged individually and then placed in one big bag. BUT all of the hardware was laying loosely in the bottom of the large bag, as if I was all just thrown in there. It was all there so that is a plus.

I was initially concerned because when I opened the package I noticed that there was no manufacturer's name on the seats and there was no parts list sheet included. I advise you not to buy this unless you intend to modify it to make it work. If failed the first time I leaned back on the seat. The strap bolt punched through the internal "brace" strap inside the seat. That piece was made of corrugated board that has no real strength. My wife said send it back. The seat looks good but there it is not strong enough. The engineer in me said fix it so I took heavy duty plastic pipe strap and threaded it through the inside and bolted the outside straps back in place. I think I made it strong enough. Caveat emptor.

Bought this as a gift for someone. These are way nicer than the originals. Definitely thicker and come with a storage bag attached to the back to carry more things. I will have to drill out the original rivets from the kayak and that is there to me is a problem. Even though this comes with mounting hardware, it is bolt and nut and there is no way to use them on a kayak that is a closed system and you can not get behind the inner surface to use them. For hardware it should have also come with rivets which would work so I’ll have to go buy some rivets that will work. But over all as a gift, the other person was super excited to get these and can’t wait ti try them out.

I purchased two of these seats for sit on top lifetime kayaks. Both failed in the same manner within 30 minutes after install on an all day kayak trip. The exact same stitching failed on both seats. We both had to do the trip with the backrest not working. I am planning to return both seats. The seat cushion was well padded and performed well. I also did like the storage bag on the back of the seat.

Very poor quality, significantly different from listing images, very weak stitching! The listing shows a rigid backed, riveted sear, and inreceived an inferior product with poorly sewn straps. Note some of the straps are even sewn pointing in the wrong dorection so that when tensioned it will pull out the stitching. Do not buy unless you dont care about immediate failure. Seller should be a shame for selling something different than as advertised.

The straps are adjustable, but outdoors equipment is usually a bit more sophisticated than your average adjustable backpack strap. I thought they were comfy enough, but my taller/heavier hubby thought they were not very padded.
