Great little paddle for the price! I'm on the mighty Mississippi & this has done fantastic on 3 trips we have taken so far this season. Typically we head sleight up river and float back down. So light to moderate current at best. If anything changes, update will be made.

Comes in 3 pieces: The pieces with the blades and a smaller piece that has “buttons” on it that the paddle pieces connect to in order to control the length of the shaft. Paddle is lightweight, and the color I chose is vibrant, which I enjoy. Only one problem: There is one more hole on the shaft of the paddle, but try as I may, I can’t get the paddle to shorten. Something is blocking it from working appropriately. (Yes, I’ve flipped the little shaft piece around to make sure I’m using it correctly; it only works one way.). And, of course, the “shaft-length” button is exactly where I place my hand to comfortably paddle, which makes it uncomfortable. So, as long as you’re on a short trip, the paddle is amazing. After about 3 hours, the place the button hits my hand starts to become bothersome.

Sure, these paddles will work fine. I like the padding on the hand placement. But if you look closely only one blade of the paddle has the coloration prominently pictured. The other side is just the solid color making the blades look mismatched. Then you turn it over and find the pattern is only on one side of the one blade. Misleading ad, the idea is beautiful but incomplete. Edit: Wontigo customer service responded to my dissatisfaction and made it right. I have to up my review stars because of the commitment to satisfaction they displayed. Outstanding.

Purchased this paddle based off of other positive reviews. This pairs well with my TuckTec kayak that is used on Stillwater and Cat 1/2. I am 5’5 and my son is 6ft, surprisingly it works well for both of us. I love the design of my paddle, it goes well with my other kayak which is in the exact same shade of blue. The nonslip grip is great and does not cause blisters. I love the fact that this breaks down into 3 pieces and makes for easy storage and transport. I would purchase again
