We have enjoyed kayaking for a couple of years now, this year we have had the opportunity to introduce our grandson to it. He so far has done well and enjoyed it. His main issue that I see is in the paddle. Ours are simply too long for his 10yo arms to control. So when I saw this paddle, we had to get it and try. Our paddles are too long as I've said. This paddle at its shortest length is 64" and will extend out to 72". Ours are to heavy, I feel, weighing in at 2.7 lbs. Doesn't seem heavy but after a day of paddling it can be. This WONITAGO Paddle is only 1.3. The drip rings are sufficient added bonus. The polypropylene blades are full blades more like the blades on My jon boat paddle. The one thing I don't particularly care for is the 3-piece handle. I would prefer it be 2 piece like ours. I am afraid at some point we may loose the center piece making the other 2 worthless.

My 4 year old loves going out on the kayak with us and is always interested in trying to paddle. I looked at other youth paddles, but they were either expensive or didn't have adjustable lengths. This is relatively inexpensive and has the ability to grow with my child. It's still a little long for her even at 64 inches, but she can manage it much better than the adult sized paddle. The paddle itself is well constructed and should withstand some abuse. Adjustment is simple and the shaft has very clearly marked lengths. There isn't a grip on the shaft, but I can understand why since they have to be located at the correct widths for the paddle length. I'll have to get her aftermarket grips that can easily be relocated (zip on type). This even came with drip shields, which was a nice addition. Overall, this is a decent kid kayak paddle.

This paddle is perfect for kids because it is a hard plastic that is lightweight. The paddles have the drip guard that helps reduce water dripping down the rod. They aren’t huge so they are great for a preadolescent or adolescent, or even a small adult. Overall it is a great paddle! Looking forward to summer.
