I bought this paddle to use with my inflatable kayak (Advanced Elements AdvancedFrame Sport), as I wanted something extendable to be sure it was the right size. This paddle is lightweight and all the pieces fit together easily, but tightly. The two end pieces are fiberglass, with a weird texture on them, whereas the center piece is smooth. I found that the texture rubbed and felt weird. I bought kayak paddle grips off Amazon and am hoping those help, as otherwise I really like the paddle. ... show more

Turns out you can adjust your length and angle of paddles. Light but strong. took them out to day and they were very efficient.

We bought two sets a white and an orange paddle. We needed a wider paddle for new wide fishing style kayaks. We also bought hand grips to put on the paddles. Very very happy with paddles. Made a big difference to have wider paddles and the grips make them fantastic.

Came exactly as expected, appear very sturdy and lightweight, (Significantly lighter than aluminum equivalent) the extension piece to add the additional length is well designed to add sturdiness. The extensions holes are where you place your hands as mentioned in one other post, but I am not sure how you could get around that and also get the added 240cm length.     • really nice paddle with an odd finish to the stroke
i really like this paddle, i like its options for feathering and length, i like its durability and weight, but i feel like the shape of the blade makes it harder for you to pull out the paddle early if you had to finish a stroke sooner. like if you had to make a quick adjustment. it seems like the blade shape makes you want to fully stroke all the way out to the surface of the water before the next stroke on the opposite side. not that its impossible, it just doesn't feel right to pull it up until its all the way through. ... show more

For the wife. She likes the adjustable length, The size of the paddle is also another plus. She likes them because they are lightweight and good for the river. I used them for a few minutes and I also thought they are good paddles. She recommends them and thats all that matters.

This paddle would be fine for casual use but I use a sea touring kayak and go for long but fast rides. This paddle was not adequate for that type of use. First of all the wobble is irritating. I thought I could get used to it but no. Second but more important, the paddle continuously rotates in my hands so the blade ends up parallel to the water. Out of all the paddles I’ve used-cheap to very expensive, I have never experienced anything like this. It caused me to grip as hard as a could to try and prevent it which was uncomfortable and exhausting. The texture of the shaft is fine for light use but due to the length of my trips and the intense grip it ultimately left my hands feeling raw. I honestly have preferred a $20 aluminum paddle over this, can’t say I’d recommend it. ... show more
