Decent paddle for the money. The connection is good between the paddle and shaft. The water drip catchers work well and are not so tight they can't move. Material feels solid. The shaft has a nice feel, and is adjustable the three different angles.

    • Flat spot on the handle area on one side of the paddle
One side of the paddle has a flat spot where your hand holds onto the paddle, but the other side is round. I’m not sure why it’s like this and feels a little odd when holding onto the paddle. Otherwise, it seems to work fine.

Stiff enough paddle. The "teeth" I believe are supposed to reduce water drip into your kayak. I didn't notice them helping with that very much, but I have not done a side by side test. This seems like an excellent step up from 4 piece or 3 piece "included" paddles with an inflatable or other cheap kayak. They are run of mill rental quality, but a very good price which is why the high rating. ... show more

Worked well and performed as expected. The separation feature was really handy when we went through some tight mangroves. I was able to use one side of the paddle to avoid getting tangled in the mangroves.
