I purchased two of this, one for me and one for my son. I purchased the double battery for me and the single battery for him. The double battery kit comes with a little charging dock (which is awesome) The LED indicators for charging and fully charged are cool, but there is also a digital display that gives you a percentage. One time while using it, I forgot to turn the battery on and noticed the battery on my Quest going down. I turned it on and a short time later the battery on the Quest had charged to almost full, so it definitely has enough power to keep it charged. I think the rubber thing at the back of the strap is a little too small for my head. It fits my son great. He says it’s comfy but to me it feels weird. Maybe if they put a pad on it or something. The clicky wheels to adjust the straps work pretty good. The joints articulate very easily, almost a little too easy, because when you pick it up it flops around a bit, which is something I need to get used to compared to my old strap. It can be used on the Quest 2 or Quest 3. They have this interesting adapter system. Whichever one you have, you take the black pieces from the kit and screw them into the straps to attach them to your quest (extra screws, etc are supplied). It doesn’t attach to the quest quite like my other head straps that snap onto the head pieces, this one slides over them. I’m hoping they don’t loosen up. Overall I’m fairly happy with the product, my son loves it. I think it’s sized a bit small for adults and the hot swappable batteries and the recharging dock is fantastic.

The batteries would connect to the headset but they would not supply power to the headset. You had to remove and attach the batteries several times to get it to start supplying power to the headset. Then the batteries just stopped charging while playing then you had to repeat the process to get the batteries to charge the headset. I returned the headset for a refund.

I love most elements of this set. There's two batteries and a charger in this pack, and works with all versions of the quest since to an interchangeable part. So why 3 instead of 5? The rear plate is uncomfortable to where when dealing with more intense games. If it didn't slip, I would say this is perfect, but this one glaring problem is so hard to ignore.

Pro. I can play and charge while i play my pop one or contractor game. Another pro is i can hot swap while playing if needed once one is dead. Chargers the headset quick, but not too quick. Meaning i can play even once the battery on the headset warns its low. Pop it on and i can still go on. The only 2 cons. My teammates batteries dies before mine lol. But the other is once i power off the headset, the battery charges DO NOT charge the headset. Only while the headset is on, i figure this is a “safety Feature” and a good one at that.

I was incredibly disappointed with the Meta Quest's battery life. While the device offers an immersive VR experience, the short battery duration significantly limits playtime. If I was playing the Meta Quest alone the 2-hour battery life would be fine but I am often playing with family which often requires more than 2 hours of playtime. This limitation was particularly frustrating since the fun family sessions were cut short. To eliminate this issue, I recently ordered the Kawaye Battery Head Strap for my Meta Quest 2, and I'm incredibly impressed. This accessory has provided my family with all of the battery life that we need for long game sessions. We are no longer tethered to a power outlet or constantly worrying about my headset running out of juice during a key gaming moment. The included magnetic battery packs are incredibly easy to change out and they provide ample power. The head strap itself is comfortable and well-designed, and it is much better than the strap that comes with the Meta Quest. The Kawaye strap distributes weight evenly, and is much more comfortable. The adjustable straps ensure a secure fit for various head sizes, making it suitable for everyone in my family. If you're a VR gamer that is tired of the built in battery not providing enough game time I suggest that you check out the Kawaye Battery Head Strap.
