I admit, I am not too familiar with whom Kate Spade is but she must be a big deal if one is mainly paying for the name. Granted, it’s an absolutely gorgeous set, there’s zero doubt about that, it arrived in flawless condition too but I just don’t feel you get enough pieces to justify the price. The Gardner Street Platinum place setting consists of 5 pieces, if you chip the cup and break the dinner plate, there goes over $135+ down the drain. Because of that, this set will most definitely only come out for special occasions as it’s too beautiful, I couldn’t bare anything happening to it, ha. The description states the Kate Spade bone China set is hand painted with gold trims on the edge. I noticed there’s also more designs to collect such as the Larabee Road Platinum which has polka dots & a Belle Boulevard set which has a pretty ribbon design. While I’m fond of the Gardner foliage design, I think the the polka dot Larabee set is more my style, I would love to add both of the designs to my collection. The sheer elegance of Kate Spades dinnerware has turned me into a new fan. If the price point is not an issue for you, I’d recommend it, otherwise for those more budget conscious like myself, I’d consider searching for a bigger set for this kind of price point. ... show more
