The pen is pretty tight with the cap. Which I think it's great so it won't easily fall from carrying in your key chain. I like that you can unscrew and possibly replace with new ink. It writes smoothly and it fits perfect on my hand The package it came in is nice and Kate Spade logo perfect for a gift.
