I got these pens for halloween pumpkin decorating and they worked great. Great colors, not transparent at all, does not smear once dried. The pen tips were very durable and smooth. I have since used these to paint/draw on a variety of other things and they have always functioned very well. My only caution is to note that the paint will dry inside the tip of the pens. If I don't use these pens for a few months, I have to spend quite some time shaking and pressing the pen tip to get the paint to flow again. And even then, sometimes the paint ends up running around the outside of the tip instead of through the tip leaving you with blobs of paint. I think this is just a function of paint pens and not necessarily a problem with this particular brand. ... show more

My first impression when I opened these was that they looked cheap which was honestly not what I was expecting. But when I started using them, I was very pleased with the results. I tested them with my 7-year-old kiddo on blank canvas boards from the art store. The colors were lovely and true, and it really was like drawing with paint. My kiddo was very pleased with their knight drawing/painting. The colors are a bit sheer, especially the light colors (white, yellow, etc), and it took a few coats for them to really stand out on top of the darker colors. (My second photo shows the painting after I went back and added more colors on top of / with the first ones I chose. I did go back to them several days later (expecting the tips to be completely dried up honestly) and they worked as well as they did the first use. I would like to use them on fabric, and that's my next test. I've heard mixed reviews about how well they work on fabric. I'm also a bit concerned that the fabric I would like to use them on (a dark stretchy denim) might not take the colors very well. So, overall I'd say these are good pens, especially if you're going to be working on a light-colored surface. ... show more

These are GREAT for arts and crafts. I did make the mistake of using them on an acrylic calendar of mine but with some effort and pink stuff paste it came off easily. I love the pigment these have and they’re super easy to use

I've been looking for an acrylic pen to sign my paintings and to write text on the canvas as well. I usually just use a small paintbrush, but wanted to give theses a try since this was a project with a lot of text. Love the way these flo. I had no problem writing, but I would suggest practicing on an old canvas painting if you've never used paint pens. My work would look much better had I done that. The paint pen needs only a little pressure, the colors cover well. They dry with a gloss, so I put a finish coat of Liqutex high gloss varnish on my piece and pleased to say the paint pen did not run or smudge. I think these pens would also be great on gesso board. Got this set for my kids but the set we received had 2 missing colors. 2 of the other colors had duplicates, so we had a total of 24 pens as expected. The box instructions said to contact the manufacturer for missing or damaged items so I emailed them requesting the 2 missing colors. They indicated that they don’t stock individual colors and that I should contact Amazon. We obviously returned the item to Amazon and will now consider another brand. Seems like this one has a quality control issue. Giving it 3 stars because the couple of markers we tried seemed to have a decent quality. ... show more

These markers work great. They paint on any surface. The flow was easy to get started and stays consistent. They blend well. They are large enough for a good grip. My only small complaint is the red is not “red.” It’s kind of a very dark pink. Also, they are water based so the saint is a bit thin. I sometimes need to use a few coated to cover the background do whatever I’m drawing doesn’t look translucent. But overall, I really like there markers. I’ll definitely buy them again. ... show more
