The media could not be loaded. The description is slightly misleading. These barstools can be either 24" or 29" - nothing in between. The first one took me almost an hour to build alone. The second one took about 30 minutes (since I was experienced and did not encounter any problems). The problem I encountered was that two bolt holes on one chair were not drilled out enough, so I could not get the bolt to go in. However, it shouldn't be a problem since there are so many bolts installed. The other problem is that one of the stools is wobbly, and one leg is shorter than the others. But again, not a huge problem as long as you use the stool on the carpet. The other stool turned out perfectly. Some tips on assembly: The wrench they send is useless. Use a T-handle wrench. You will also need a Philips screwdriver which is not included. I used a battery-operated screwdriver. You would have to be pretty strong to use a manual one since it's securing the pad to the seat. These have a quiet and easy swivel, and the instructions are decent and understandable, however small print. I like these attractive bar stools. ... show more

These look as described once assembled. I like the optional legs that are provided. It was easy to assemble and seems to be pretty sturdy. If you like the look then these are for you and as reasonably priced for stools.

    • Comfortable
These stools are great. They have a very vintage look and are comfortable to sit in. The seats swivel smoothly too. It comes with two different size legs so you can choose which height is better for your space. They were not easy to put together though, at least not for me, and I've put a lot of stuff together. Be sure that you don't fully tighten any of the bolts until you've got them all installed, the holes don't line up perfectly but they give you enough wighle room to them together. It's easier to put the swivel parts onto the chair first and then attach the legs. Also be careful not to overtighten the screws into the seat bottom. And yes, there are no holes pre-drilled in the bottom of the seat but it's not hard to just screw the screws in, no need to drill a pilot hole. Once you get them assembled, you will like them more.
