Twenty two pounds of smooth drag. I have bought several of this 3000 size model and use them fishing tournaments. Loaded them with line for 6lb to 40lb, both P Line Floraclear, and braid. Drop shot, skipping, to swim baits all on Kastking Speed Demon rods. I also use Speed Demon casting setups too. Value is the key for me. These reels perform, and compair to more expensive reels. Catch a big one, take a pic, and put her back. Don't eat your toys.

Delivered as promised in excellent condition. It is a beautiful little machine. I hope it holds up to saltwater conditions as I do a week's worth of surf fishing every year on vacation. The salt has been murder on my freshwater reels in years past. Looking forward to trying it out! Update. Unfortunately, Had to return this reel because of severely uneven line lay on the spool. Thankfully Kastking customer service was excellent. Received my replacement alot faster than expected. The line lays evenly on the new reel and it casts awesome. Only issue that remains is that this one is not nearly as smooth as the first and is noisy on the retrieve. Kastking makes some good budget reels( I have a few Summers and Centrons at half the price) just think the quality control may be lacking. Guess I'll keep it and see how it holds up. Update: The reel performed excellent on my week Long surf fishing expedition. It was subjected to quick dunks and multiple splashes in the surf, and continued to function where other reels in the past would have certainly failed. Got to give it another star for durability in the salt.

The media could not be loaded. I was a skeptical when buying, but I have to say the Valiant Eagle spinning reel is a very good option if you want an affordable reel that will catch most freshwater and inshore saltwater species. The reel is fairly light, with generous spool capacity, a strong drag system, casts well and has a fast line retrieve. I use it in saltwater and give it a light freshwater spray rinse after each use. So far I have had zero issues. I have more expensive, premium brand reels that are smoother and quieter and will likely last longer, but those reels cost anywhere from $100 to $200. Although I do prefer my expensive reels, I have caught a lot of nice fish with the KastKing Valiant Eagle spinning reel and own three of them. The Valiant Eagle may not be a true 5 star reel compared to premium reels from the likes of Shimano, Daiwa, Penn and others, but among the budget reels offered on Amazon I rate it 5 stars, especially when on sale at around $35.

Looked at a lot of reels at this price point. Features and specs were key. Materials, retrieval rate, drag, line capacity etc. Even held a few in my hand at the big box store . l liked the look, loved the name so, I got one. Have not been disappointed. Goldilocks IMO. I am not a professional fisherman, I spend my own hard earned money and simply enjoy fishing without gear related problems.

This is my fourth KastKing reel and won’t be my last. Compared to similar reels in this price point from Diawa or Penn, there is no comparison. These reels are all metal, stainless bearings, sealed internals and they are serviceable and smooth as butter. This Golden Eagle was a gift for my brother-in-law and he loves it! Great look but more importantly great performance.

This KastKing Valiant Eagle 3000 spinning reel is smooth as butter!!! The bearings, the bail, the drag are all super smooth and feel very high-quality. It has water resistant construction that keeps out moisture and debris. I had previously bought my son a KastKing Sharky III spinning combo for much less than I paid for my St. Croix rod alone. I was so impressed with the function and feel of that set up that I found myself picking it up before my St. Croix/Shimano spinning set up, which cost 3 times as much as I have in that KastKing combo. As soon as I picked it up, I knew I was going to have a KastKing for myself. After using KastKing's very informative website to research what would best suit my needs, I purchased this KastKing Valiant Eagle 3000. I love that the spool is braid ready, and the reel is very lightweight. The carbon fibers add strength, so this reel should be very structurally sound. The only thing I wish they would change is that the handle can't be loosened to fold down. It has to be unscrewed and removed with its shaft. I'd rather be able to loosen and collapse it instead of removing it when I put it in a case for traveling. I still love it, and I feel I've got a far better product for about 1/3 of the price of my best reels of the same size and power. I'll look at KastKing before I buy anything else now. I'm going to check out their saltwater products next.
