I love this reel paired it with acc crappie stix 7'6" for speckled trout and fun fighting bull reds with it, can cast a mile. Been in boat for 2 years now and I fish 2-4 times a month. It may have got lubed a time or two, and has handled hundreds of fish. I need to get another reel soon and thank you, kastking for all the joy this reel has brought me.

I happened to get this reel for under $40 on a early prime lightning sale, and spec wise this reel is valued at far more than what i got it for. 6.2:1 gear ratio, great line pick-up, enormous line capacity, shielded bearings, and sealed drag are features only expected in more expensive reels. I paired this reel with a 10’6” bobber rod 8-12 for steelhead. Reeling action is as smooth as expected for a sub $50 reel, tactile clicks on drag, and bail. Bail acting is a little stiff but im not complaining. If youre in the market for a budget reel or good backup reel, this is a top choice imo.

Worked great, especially for the price. I used it for a budget loaner setup when I took people kayak fishing that were new. It was great until it was accidentally dropped off the kayak by a buddy excited for catching a fish and dropping it over. I already ordered another one and this time I got a float for it, lol. It may not be the best reel but it is worth every penny I paid for it and then some.
