Bought this for salt and freshwater fishing and teamed it up with a KastKing 7’ rod. Very nice combo! I bought the 4000 and returned it for the 3000 as it seemed to big for the species I was gunning for, Snook - Redfish - Northern Pike - Muskies. The reels tend to run large when compared to other brands. But the quality and weight is excellent. Very smooth and looks great. I haven't gotten a chance to use this reel yet, but I did go with a 30lb braid. Reel says it holds 160 or 165 yards at that size braid, but it definitely started to look overfilled well before I got to the end of the spool. I'll test it out soon and update it's performance.

Wow what an amazing reel! Super smooth. I have many Kastking model but this is far the best. Comparing to Okuma, Penn that i owned the smoothness of this Kastking model is comparable to shimano brand.

This reel does not hold up well with any kind of fish over 10lbs on it. It is light weight though and casts fine. Just doesn’t have the durability as you’d expect.
