I have been looking for a spinning reel that I could use both in fresh & salt water. The KastKing ReKon 2500 has exceeded all my expectations. It has an incredibly smooth mechanism. I loaded it with 15# KastKing SuperPower braid and can cast it a "mile". The quality shouts a reel that cost 3 times as much as the ReKon. The retrieve is so smooth and the drag is very sensitive and can be calibrated for all situations. I highly recommend this high quality, very reasonably priced reel. You will not be disappointed!!

The only kastking products I have used in the past are the centron reels in the 500 and 2500 sizes for slip float fishing. They both worked great and still do. This reel is around double the cost, but feels super sturdy and super smooth. I will update the review after fishing inshore next weekend but have no doubt it will do it's job well.

This saltwater reel looks and feels like it will perform well. It is very smooth and the reel knob is wide for better grip. You could spend several hundred dollars on a good saltwater reel, but this one will do the job for much less. Kastking makes quality fishing products.
