I go back and forth on whether I want a sling pack or a backpack, except when fishing -- the sling keeps my casting arm free and clear in a more comfortable way than a backpack does, so it's really convenient when I'm casting on the move. This sling works really well. I've got a couple, but this one fits a bit more securely and feels a bit more comfortable around my back. I like to keep slings fairly tight to minimize pack movement, but that can be a problem if I have to tighten the strap way up to get it where I like it; this one sits well. The rod holder works OK. It may or may not be a useful feature for you depending on the terrain you navigate; it's sometimes easier to hold onto a rod rather than to have to dodge and duck if there's lots of vegetation overhead. There are a few fishing-specific bits and bobs, like the main pocket being deep and sized for plastic tackle boxes and the loops for attaching various things to the back, but nothing too terribly specific. Otherwise, it's pretty standard fare for a pack. I always appreciate tabbed pulls on the zippers so I can wear gloves, and these pulls are nice. I like the pocket arrangement because there's a bit of flexibility without having multiple layers of pockets on pockets on pockets, which is always a bit of a pain to deal with. I also like that the main pocket zipper runs all the way down to the base of the pack, which means that that pocket can be opened wide and will stay open, which is useful when I'm trying to find that one piece of gear that somehow always gets hidden in the main pocket. It seems well made -- it's definitely a cut above the cheaper slings out there. The fabric seems a little thicker, and the neatness and evenness of the seams was nice to see. It's a nice pack.

Great small sling for local pond fishing. We got this as a gift for a young boy and it's perfect to pack a couple plastic tackle organizers, Power Bait jars, pliers, etc. Very good quality and great price for the size.

I've been using this bag for several fishing trips now, and it is my go-to tackle bag for quick trips or when I just targeting a single species. The size is perfect if you want to stay mobile without carrying a bulky backpack I like it for shore fishing. It holds plenty of gear, including 3600 tackle boxes, some soft plastics, while still feeling lightweight and comfortable. The exterior attachments points hold my pliers and scissors with no problems and casting with it on isn't an issue, I'm not a fan of casting with a normal backpack with two straps. The build quality feels solid for the price, with durable fabric, strong zippers, and plenty of storage options. Whether you're bank fishing, or hiking into remote spots, this bag offers a great balance of capacity, comfort, and portability. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an affordable and well-designed tackle bag.

I've had good luck with KastKing products, and needed a new pack. I hadn't used a sling pack previously, but I found this pack perfect for the job. Either thrown over a shoulder for short walks or over the body it was VERY comfortable. On a 20 minute walk from the parking lot over the dune to the beach I barely noticed it, and had my hands free. The sling itself is 3-4 inches wide and padded (as is the back of the pack). It appears to be designed by someone who actually fishes, with lots of little extras. 7-D-rings, Multiple pockets, zippers on both sides to make opening easier. Lots of room for all the gear, and ways to keep it well organized. The construction is very solid but still lightweight (Until I load it with all the junk I like to bring.) In summary, I highly recommend this for getting the gear and rods to the water.
